PANCHKULA,14.08.20-The Yoga Federation of India is going to organize 4th Federation Yogasana Sports Cup Live-Online on 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 29th and 30th August, 2020, keeping social distancing by avoiding social gathering due to present COVID-19 situation, according to Mr. Ashok Kumar Aggarwal, President, Yoga Federation of India.

About 900 (Male and Female) Yoga Players, National Yoga Referees and Officials from 26 States / Union Territories of India have already confirmed their participation.

The First 10 position holders of 44th Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior National Yogasana Sports Championship will participate in the age groups of 8-10 years, 10-14 years, 14-18 years, 18-25 years, 25-35 years, above 35 years and above 21 years Professional Yogasana Competitions (Male & Female). The Yoga Competitors will also participate in the Junior & Senior Artistic Solo Yogasana Competition both for male and female separately.

The competitors will perform all the Ten Yogasanas of their respective age groups as per syllabus laid down by Yoga Federation of India from their home place through online live camera movement. Similarly the Referee panel will also judge their performance from their respective home places through online live cameras and result will be compiled online.

The Inauguration of the 4th Federation Yogasana Sports Cup will be held online live on 15th August, 2020 at 11:30 AM and the valedictory function will be held on 30th August, 2020 at 03:30 PM online live. The Yogasana and Artistic Solo Yogasana Competitions will be held on 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd and 29th August, 2020.

To brief with the activities and achievements of Yoga Federation of India for the last 44 years, it was founded in the year 1974 and has been affiliated with Asian Yoga Federation, International Yoga Sports Federation and International Yoga Federation. The Yoga Federation of India is the pioneer body in the field of Yoga at National Level in India, dealing with the promotion and propagation of Yoga Sports in the country since its inception in the year 1974. So far 33 States/Union Territories including All India Police Sports Control Board are the affiliated members of Yoga Federation of India and has so far organized 44 National Yogasana Sports Championship in the different parts of the country. Recently, the 44th Sub-Junior & Junior National Yogasana Sports Championship was organized online live in the month of June, 2020.
