*Chandigarh, July 25 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, while interacting with representatives of the district's plywood industry at Sapphire Hotel, Yamunanagar, said that the government's vision is to establish Haryana's industries on the global stage. He said that Yamunanagar is not only the plywood capital of Haryana but also of India. The state's total industrial output reached ₹11.08 lakh crore in the financial year 2023–24.
The Chief Minister said that the strong participation of representatives from Haryana's plywood industry in the 49th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair held in Tanzania in July 2025 was an excellent example of their global outlook. He highlighted that entrepreneurs Rajesh Kumar, Nikhil Garg and Shiv Kumar from Yamunanagar have registered a company named Green Impex Limited in the Mafinga region of Tanzania by investing in plywood manufacturing there. He said that this initiative to establish a plywood manufacturing unit on foreign soil would inspire other entrepreneurs as well.
He further said that to improve industrial areas and develop them into world class industrial hubs, the Haryana Government has established a special fund named SAKSHAM with an initial allocation of ₹500 crore in the Budget 2026–27. This fund will be used to rejuvenate industrial areas, including Yamunanagar. To address the issue of expensive industrial land, the government has also introduced the Land on Lease Policy, under which industrial plots will be available on long term lease with the option of converting them into freehold when required.
To accelerate entrepreneurship, the government implemented the new Industrial Policy on June 1, 2026.
Interacting with entrepreneurs, the Chief Minister said that industries employing local youth will receive an employment generation subsidy of ₹1 lakh per employee per year for 10 years. Industries employing women, Scheduled Caste beneficiaries, persons with disabilities and Agniveers will receive ₹1.20 lakh per employee per year.
He further said that industries recruiting through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam will be reimbursed the entire EPF contribution of both the employer and the employee by the government.
The Chief Minister said that the government is bringing a new MSME Policy to take the MSME and export sectors to new heights. The policy is currently under Cabinet approval, but its draft contains several important proposals for the benefit of industry. He informed that the proposed export freight subsidy support limit has been increased from ₹10 lakh to ₹30 lakh per unit per year. Industries exporting more than 80 per cent of their production will be given special recognition on the proposed Udaan Dwar Portal, enabling them to connect more easily with international buyers.
He also said that the draft policy proposes affordable insurance products by expanding the scope of the Mukhyamantri Vyapari Kshatipurti Yojana to protect small traders and MSMEs against losses arising from fire, theft and natural disasters. To further improve ease of doing business, Land Feasibility Certificates will now be issued within 45 working days.
The Chief Minister said that on applications for incentives, 50 per cent of the admissible amount will be released within seven working days after preliminary scrutiny, while the remaining amount will be released within 45 days after detailed verification. He added that if there is any delay by the Industries Department in releasing eligible incentives, entrepreneurs will be paid interest at the rate of 8 per cent per annum on the delayed payment.
He said that the government had committed in its Sankalp Patra to prepare a master plan for reviving Jagadhri's metal industry by providing subsidies for industrial infrastructure. Accordingly, a Metal and General Park is being developed at Manakpur. The layout plan has been revised to create more than 900 plots of 250, 312 and 450 square metres for the metal industry. Earlier, only 204 plots of 450 square metres and above were available. The Industries Department is also working on a separate incentive and subsidy package for the metal industry.
MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora and Joint Director, MSME, Sh. V.P. Singh Ahluwalia gave a detailed presentation on the industrial sector. Raman Saluja, State President of Laghu Udyog Bharti, shared information on the engineering industry, while Arkinder Pal Singh Bhatti spoke about the metal industry.

Chandigarh, July 25 – With the efforts of Haryana Health Minister, Sh. Aarti Singh Rao, a 33 KV power substation has been completed at Baghot village in Kanina, Mahendragarh District. Constructed at a cost of around Rs. 7 crore, the substation has already been energised, while installation of equipment and final technical testing are in progress. Health Minister Sh. Aarti Singh Rao said that before the elections, villagers had highlighted the electricity problems in the area, and she had assured them that a permanent solution would be provided after the formation of the government. She expressed satisfaction that the commitment had now been fulfilled.
The Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the State Government is continuously strengthening rural infrastructure and basic amenities.
The new 33 KV substation will operate three 11 KV feeders—Baghot AP, Domestic and Rajawas-Syana AP. It will provide improved voltage and uninterrupted power supply to thousands of domestic and agricultural consumers in Baghot, Syana and around half a dozen nearby villages. Balanced distribution of electricity load will help reduce low voltage, overloading, tripping and frequent power outages, while ensuring adequate power supply for irrigation, benefiting farmers.

Chandigarh, July 25- Union Minister of Power and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, Sh. Manohar Lal, on Saturday inaugurated a Sewing Training Centre at Chulkana village in Panipat district. The centre, along with another centre at Barana village, was inaugurated during a programme organised to promote skill development and self-employment opportunities for women and girls.
Addressing the gathering, Union Cabinet Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the true essence of Antyodaya lies in ensuring the rise and empowerment of the last person in society. He said that the concept of development remains incomplete until its benefits reach the most deprived and needy sections of society.
He said that taking forward the spirit of Antyodaya, Sewing Training Centres are being established in various villages to enable girls and women to become self-reliant through skill development and employment opportunities.
The Union Minister informed that a plan has been prepared to start Sewing Training Centres in 75 villages, including Chulkana and Barana. So far, 70 girl students have enrolled at the centre. The training programme will be conducted in two shifts of four hours each, with 35 trainees in each shift. The total duration of the training programme has been fixed at 70 days.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that Sewing Training Centres have already been started in three villages, while three new centres are being inaugurated today and eight more centres have been proposed. He said that the objective of this initiative is to empower women by providing them skill-based training and helping them become economically independent.
He said that the initiative will continue to be expanded so that opportunities for development, dignity and self-reliance reach every section of society, particularly those at the grassroots level.
On the occasion, Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda lauded the initiative launched by Union Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal and said that it would encourage women to take up self-employment and provide them with opportunities to become self-reliant. He said that the initiative would boost confidence among women and strengthen their economic condition.

Launching a sharp attack on the Congress, the Chief Minister said that the party, which ruled the country for 55 years, has run out of issues and is now attempting to further its political interests in the name of the youth. He said everyone is aware of how examination papers were leaked during the Congress regime, how the culture of parchi-kharchi prevailed, and how generations of young aspirants were repeatedly betrayed.He alleged that Rahul Gandhi is now trying to revive his party's declining political fortunes by invoking the concerns of the youth. In contrast, he said, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has made it clear that the interests of the country's youth are paramount, which is why even officials and employees of the National Testing Agency (NTA) were dismissed to uphold accountability.
The Chief Minister was addressing the Mewat Vikas Sankalp Rally at Punhana in Mewat on Saturday. The rally was organised by Chaudhary Javed Khan, who accorded the Chief Minister a warm welcome and honoured him with a traditional turban. Paying tributes to martyr Hasan Khan Mewati, the Chief Minister said that Mewat, which had endured decades of neglect, is today emerging as a symbol of development, trust and new opportunities. He said the transparent functioning of the double-engine government and its people-centric policies have ushered in unprecedented transformation across every sector, including roads, education, healthcare, drinking water, employment and women's empowerment.
He said the vision of Viksit Bharat can only be realised when every region of Haryana, including Mewat, becomes an integral part of the mainstream development process. The coming era belongs to Mewat, and this journey of development will now move ahead with even greater speed, he said.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that, in the years ahead, Mewat would write a new chapter in Haryana's development story. Roads are reaching every village, drinking water infrastructure is being strengthened, new opportunities for higher education are being created for girls, healthcare facilities are expanding, and new avenues for employment and self-employment are opening up for the youth. This transformation is a living testament to the people's trust and the government's commitment, he said.
Referring to the recently declared results of the Mewat Cadre teacher recruitment, the Chief Minister said that 32 candidates from the region secured selection purely on merit, without any recommendation or bribery, demonstrating the transparency of the recruitment process.
*Chief Minister Questions Transparency of Punjab Recruitment Process*
The Chief Minister also raised questions over the recently conducted Excise Inspector recruitment process in Punjab, alleging a lack of transparency. He claimed that candidates with names that had attracted widespread public attention had reportedly figured in the selection list, raising serious doubts about the integrity of the recruitment process.
He said that while the Aam Aadmi Party had already been voted out of power in Delhi and claimed to represent "hardcore honesty" in Punjab, the recent Excise Inspector recruitment, the results of which were declared five days ago, reflected how the youth were allegedly being deceived.
He further alleged that the Congress-INDI alliance was misleading the people and betraying public trust.
Highlighting Haryana's own recruitment process, the Chief Minister said that 1,494 candidates were selected under the Mewat Cadre and challenged anyone to prove that even a single candidate or their family had spent "five paise" to secure employment.
He said the BJP government has ensured transparent recruitment and provided government jobs purely on merit. Over the past one-and-a-half years, 50,000 youth have been given government jobs without any recommendation or bribery, taking the total number of government jobs provided during the last 12 and half years to nearly two lakh.
He also noted that the Common Eligibility Test (CET) had been conducted successfully and its results had already been declared.
The Chief Minister further said that 1.20 lakh youth appointed through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam have been provided employment security. To facilitate better educational and employment opportunities abroad, the government has established the Department of Foreign Cooperation and the Haryana Overseas Employment Cell.
He added that legislation has been enacted to curb illegal immigration agents and the so-called "dunki route", while 1.58 lakh youth have so far received skill training to help them secure dignified and safe employment overseas.

The Chief Minister said the double-engine government is working relentlessly to accelerate development across the country. Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh said that since 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party government has been working on the principle of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas", giving equal priority to the development of every region of the state. He said no region or section of society has faced discrimination in the implementation of development schemes.
Appealing to the people to support the BJP, he said that if the region elects its own representative, its concerns and aspirations would be represented more effectively. As Industries Minister, he said he has encouraged industries to ensure that newly established industrial units give priority to local youth in employment. He said the State Government's objective is to accelerate industrial growth in every district, attract greater investment and generate employment opportunities at the local level. Addressing the public meeting, MLA from Kaman in Rajasthan and a daughter of Punhana, Ms. Nauksham Chaudhary said Haryana is witnessing rapid development under the BJP's double-engine government.

Welcoming the Chief Minister, rally organiser Chaudhary Javed Khan said Mewat has always been a land of rich history and sacrifice. He said the people of Mewat have made immense contributions to the nation and never hesitated to confront Babur. During the First War of Independence in 1857, too, the region's brave sons laid down their lives for the country. He added that the people of Mewat also played their part in 1947, but regretted that in independent India they received little except disappointment.
Chaudhary Javed Khan said the region had remained steadfastly loyal to the Congress Party, supporting it for 35 of the last 75 years. Although the Congress consistently projected itself as the well-wisher of the people of Mewat, no meaningful development took place in the region. Schools, roads, healthcare facilities and other basic infrastructure remained inadequate.

He said the Guru Nanak Khalsa Group of Institutions has, over the years, fostered social consciousness through education, making its journey a truly inspiring contribution to nation-building.
Honouring 160 meritorious students and sportspersons for their outstanding achievements, the Chief Minister said the gathering reflected three defining pillars of a bright future for any society. On one side were students who had secured top positions in their colleges and universities through talent and hard work. On the other were sportspersons who had transformed their sweat and perseverance into medals, bringing laurels to Haryana and the nation. The third inspiring sight, he said, was that of young people holding appointment letters that marked the beginning of their professional careers.
Addressing the students, the Chief Minister said, A degree is proof of your knowledge, but your character defines your life. Wherever you go, carry your values along with your education.
He said he could imagine the joy of the families who would have received the news of their children's achievements. A mother who had once sent her child to school with a dream in her heart was seeing that dream come true today. A father who had sacrificed his own needs to educate his child was witnessing the reward of years of struggle. This is not merely a job offer for you; it is a victory for your entire family's perseverance and sacrifices, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
The Chief Minister said Haryana's remarkable achievements in sports have become a source of inspiration for the entire country. Whenever the Indian Tricolour is raised at an international sporting event, he said, the sweat and dedication of a son or daughter of Haryana are invariably part of that achievement.
Quoting Swami Vivekananda, the Chief Minister said, "Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is achieved." He added that this is precisely what India expects from its youth today, to dream big, work hard and always place national interest above everything else.
Looking at the young audience, he said he could clearly see the future of Viksit Bharat in their eyes. He envisioned among them scientists who would make groundbreaking discoveries, sportspersons who would raise the Tricolour on global platforms, and engineers, doctors, entrepreneurs and administrators who would lead India to new heights. The Chief Minister said it was particularly meaningful that the programme was being held at an institution associated with the revered name of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, whose teachings remain as relevant today as ever. He recalled Guru Nanak Dev Ji's timeless message ‘Kirat Karo, Naam Japo and Vand Chhako', which calls upon people to earn an honest livelihood, remain rooted in moral values and share their blessings with society. He said that if the youth imbibe these three principles in their lives, the dream of a developed India would become a reality through the collective consciousness of society.
The Chief Minister observed that the world is changing rapidly, with new revolutions in robotics, semiconductors, green technology, digital innovation and start-ups reshaping the future. He said true learning begins where formal education ends, urging young people to embrace emerging technologies, continuously upgrade their skills and nurture a spirit of innovation.
Recalling an inspiring anecdote about former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the Chief Minister said someone once asked him the greatest secret of success. Dr. Kalam had replied with a smile, A dream is not what you see while sleeping; a dream is what keeps you awake.
The Chief Minister said this message applies to every student striving to achieve excellence. He said the Haryana Government has decided to develop Government Colleges into Model Sanskriti Colleges, and 22 such colleges have already been established. The Government's objective is to ensure that every young person has access to quality higher education close to home.
Accordingly, Government Colleges have been established within a radius of 20 kilometres across the State. Alongside expanding educational opportunities, the Government is placing equal emphasis on skill development.
He said that under national projects, the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) has been established in Panchkula and Kurukshetra, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Rohtak, the National Institute of Design (NID) at Umri, and an extension centre of IIT Delhi at Sonipat. Several new provisions for strengthening the education sector have also been made in the current State Budget.
The Chief Minister further announced that, in collaboration with the Future Department and the Higher Education Department, the Government will launch an autonomous digital college. The institution will function through technology-driven teaching, digital evaluation and personalised learning systems. Based on the success of this pilot project, 10 more such colleges will be established next year.
He said the Government has created an environment that encourages young people to take education seriously and prepare diligently for competitive examinations. So far, 1.83 lakh youth have secured government jobs purely on merit, without any parchi-kharchi (recommendation or bribery).
To equip young people for safe and dignified employment overseas, 1.96 lakh youth have received skill training. He said the Government enacted legislation in March 2025 to curb illegal immigration through the "donkey route" and eliminate the network of unscrupulous agents.
Highlighting the State's commitment to sports, the Chief Minister said Olympic and Paralympic gold medallists are awarded Rs. 6 crore, silver medallists Rs. 4 crore, and bronze medallists Rs. 2.50 crore, while every participating athlete receives Rs. 15 lakh.
He further informed that 550 new posts have been created in the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, and 232 sportspersons have already been provided government jobs. The daily dietary allowance for sportspersons has been enhanced to Rs. 500 per athlete.
The Chief Minister said 2,000 sports nurseries have been established across the State in 2026. Under the scheme, sportspersons in the 8–14 years age group receive a monthly scholarship of Rs. 1,500, while those in the 15–19 years category are provided Rs. 2,000 per month.

Chandigarh, July 25 - Chief Electoral Officer Haryana, Sh. A. Sreenivas said that the first phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in the State has been completed 100 per cent. The draft electoral roll will be published on July 31 and will be made available on the official website as well as at all designated publication centres.
The CEO was addressing a press conference at the Haryana Civil Secretariat, Sector-17, Chandigarh. Additional Chief Electoral Officers Ms Ritu and Sh Apurv and Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Sh. Raj Kumar Lohan was also present.
Thanking the officers and officials for their cooperation during the Special Intensive Revision, Sh. A. Sreenivas said that 20,629 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) distributed enumeration forms to more than 2 crore 6 lakh 55 thousand electors, out of which 1 crore 72 lakh 71 thousand 361 enumeration forms have been digitised. However, the names of 33 lakh 84 thousand 568 electors could not be recorded. Of these, 13 lakh 75 thousand 278 had permanently shifted, 7 lakh 66 thousand 205 were found to be deceased, 2 lakh 4 thousand 916 were already registered as electors, 9 lakh 36 thousand 646 electors were found absent, while 1 lakh 1 thousand 523 electors did not submit their enumeration forms due to other reasons.
He said that claims and objections may be filed from July 31 to August 30. If the name of any elector does not appear in the draft electoral roll to be published on July 31, he or she may submit Form 6 to get the name included again. The name will be included in the final electoral roll.
He made it clear that the name of any elector will not be deleted without giving an opportunity of hearing. If an elector is aggrieved by the decision of the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), an appeal may be filed before the District Magistrate within 15 days. If the grievance still persists, a further appeal may be filed before the Chief Electoral Officer within 30 days.
The final electoral roll will be published on October 3. Along with the period for filing claims and objections, the notice phase and disposal of objections will continue up to September 28. During the notice phase, BLOs will issue notices to those electors whose particulars could not be matched with the electoral roll prepared during the previous Special Intensive Revision or where any discrepancy has been found in mapping.
He said that eligible persons may apply for inclusion of their names in the electoral roll through Form 6. Young citizens who attained 18 years of age on or before July 1, 2026, have also been provided the facility to enrol themselves as electors by submitting Form 6. Those whose names have been left out of the electoral roll or who could not submit their enumeration forms may also submit Form 6.
He said that electors whose names are already included in the electoral roll may submit Form 7 for deletion of their names. Form 8 may be used by electors to make corrections in their Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC) or to rectify any error in the electoral roll. This facility will also be available online.
Sh. A. Sreenivas said that for the successful conduct of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and District Election Officers (DEOs) are carrying out the exercise across all Assembly Constituencies in the State. In the next phase, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) will also be associated with the exercise.
He further said that 37,055 Booth Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by various political parties are also assisting in the process. These include 19,051 appointed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), 15,818 by the Indian National Congress, 1,476 by the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), 54 by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), 314 by the Communist Party of India (CPI) and 342 by the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP).

Chandigarh, July 25- Haryana Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana said that the Mango Mela is a tribute to the hard work of farmers and a celebration of Haryana's agricultural strength. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, India is emerging as the world's fastest-growing major economy, with its villages, farmers and agriculture forming the backbone of this remarkable growth.
A farmer's hard work receives its true value only when he also becomes a strong participant in the marketplace. With this vision, a nationwide network of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) is being created, which Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini is actively promoting across Haryana. By coming together through FPOs, small farmers can reduce cultivation costs and increase their incomes, said the Cabinet Minister.
The Minister was addressing the closing ceremony of the three-day 8th Mango Mela at the Sub-Tropical Fruit Centre, Ladwa, Kurukshetra, on Saturday. Earlier, he inspected the Centre's nursery and learnt about scientific methods of raising quality planting material. He also planted a sapling in the campus, conveying the message of environmental conservation and urging people to carry forward Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. The Minister also visited stalls put up by progressive farmers from different States and showed keen interest in the diverse varieties of mangoes displayed at the exhibition.
Sh. Shyam Singh Rana said that more than 200 varieties of mangoes had been showcased at the Mango Mela, reflecting the experience, innovation and dedication of farmers. He said that if India is to become a developed nation by 2047, agriculture must also evolve in line with future requirements. While the world is increasingly embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI), its greatest benefits, he said, will accrue to farmers. AI can help identify soil nutrient deficiencies, determine the right irrigation schedule, recommend suitable crops, provide early disease alerts and assess market demand in advance, thereby saving time, reducing cultivation costs and enhancing farmers' incomes, said the Cabinet Minister.
He said that drones are already being used for field surveys, AI is assessing soil health and weather-related information is reaching farmers directly on their mobile phones. AI-enabled digital accounting also enables farmers to maintain complete records of their expenditure and income through their smartphones. This, he said, is the future of smart farming. However, while technology can guide agriculture, the soul of farming will always remain the experience of the farmer. Therefore, tradition and technology must progress together.
He said that with agricultural landholdings becoming smaller, the Government is encouraging farmers to diversify towards horticulture. A subsidy of Rs. 42,000 per acre is being provided for establishing new mango orchards, and mango has also been brought under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana.
The Minister further said that the Government is actively promoting natural farming. Launched in 2022, the Natural Farming Scheme aims to protect soil health, reduce cultivation costs and secure the future of agriculture. Around two lakh farmers have registered nearly three lakh acres under the scheme, while over 24,000 farmers are practising natural farming on more than 44,000 acres. During 2025-26, natural farming was undertaken on 20,727 acres, and a budget provision of Rs. 30 crore has been made this year to further promote natural farming.
He said that indigenous cows hold a vital place in natural farming. From 2025, the subsidy for preparing Jeevamrit and Ghan Jeevamrit using indigenous cows has been increased to Rs. 30,000. In addition, every farmer is being provided Rs. 3,000 for the purchase of four drums required for the storage and processing of raw materials used in natural farming.

Chandigarh, July 25- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the Congress has no real issues left to raise and is therefore indulging in politics in the name of the youth. Terming such politics unfortunate, he said any attempt to jeopardise the future of young people for political gains would not be tolerated. He said that a party which remained in power for decades should first account for the unemployment, corruption and irregularities in recruitment that youth had to face during its tenure.
The Chief Minister was interacting with mediapersons after chairing the District Public Relations and Grievances Redressal Committee meeting in Gurugram on Saturday.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini alleged that during the Congress regime, government jobs were distributed through favouritism and several recruitment processes had to be stayed following judicial intervention. He said the Congress had played with the future of the youth during its tenure, while today the same party was indulging in politics in the name of young people.
Congress and leaders of the INDIA alliance have no substantive issue to take before the people and are therefore trying to mislead the youth, said the Chief Minister.
Referring to the recent recruitment of Excise Inspectors in Punjab, he said serious allegations of irregularities had surfaced in the recruitment process. Such incidents, he said, amounted to a grave injustice to the youth, and the Congress should first answer questions on those cases.
The Chief Minister also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi for according the highest priority to safeguarding the future of the country's youth and for taking stringent and far-sighted decisions through the Union Cabinet. He said that under the Prime Minister's leadership, both the Central Government and the Haryana Government are working with full commitment to secure a bright and promising future for young people.
Over the past 12 years, several historic initiatives have been taken to empower youth, promote self-reliance and create greater employment opportunities, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
He questioned the Congress to also place before the people an account of the measures it had taken for the welfare of youth during its long years in power.
The Chief Minister said Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has given a clear message that no individual or institution found compromising the future of young people would be spared.
Referring to the National Testing Agency (NTA), he said stringent action had also been taken against several officials. The government is clear that no compromise will be allowed on the future of the nation's youth.

Agriculture Minister lays foundation stone for Rs. 5.63 crore Primary Health Centre in Alahar village

Chandigarh, July 25- Haryana Agriculture, Farmers' Welfare, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana laid the foundation stone of a new Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Alahar village of the Radaur Assembly constituency, Yamunanagar. The health facility, to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 5.63 crore on nearly 1.5 acres of land, is expected to significantly improve access to healthcare for residents of the village and surrounding areas.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said the new PHC would ensure that quality healthcare services are available closer to people's homes, reducing the need to travel long distances for basic medical treatment. He said the Haryana Government is committed to strengthening healthcare infrastructure at the grassroots level so that timely and better medical services reach every citizen.
He added that thousands of people from nearby villages would benefit from the facility. The government, he said, is continuously upgrading the state's healthcare network by establishing new hospitals and health centres while equipping them with modern medical infrastructure.
Emphasising the importance of preventive healthcare, Shyam Singh Rana urged people to make yoga a part of their daily routine. A healthy body, he said, enables individuals to perform their responsibilities more efficiently and lead a better quality of life.
The Minister assured villagers that all development works in the area would be undertaken on priority and said there would be no shortage of funds for public welfare projects. He reiterated his commitment to strengthening basic infrastructure and transforming the Radaur Assembly constituency into one of the most prosperous regions of the state.
Highlighting the government's development agenda, the Cabinet Minister said the Haryana Government under the leadership of Chief Minister ,Sh. Nayab Singh Saini is working towards balanced and inclusive development of both rural and urban areas. He said the government's focus is to ensure that essential civic amenities reach every citizen and that development projects are completed within stipulated timelines while maintaining high quality standards.
He further stated that several welfare schemes are being implemented for farmers, youth, women and other sections of society, to ensure that the benefits reach the last person in the queue.
On the occasion, Alahar Sarpanch, Sh. Rajat Kamboj submitted a list of development demands before the Minister. Responding positively, Shyam Singh Rana assured that the proposals would be examined and taken up at the earliest. Drug-Free India Campaign- Youth Invited to Spread Awareness Through Creative Competitions; Apply by July 27
Chandigarh, July 25- As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Campaign), a series of awareness initiatives will be organised to educate young people and the public about the harmful effects of substance abuse while encouraging a healthy and positive lifestyle. In this regard, Mera Yuva Bharat, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is organising a range of creative competitions under the Nasha Mukt Yuva Se Viksit Bharat campaign.
Sharing more details in this regard, a spokesperson of the department said that the initiative aims to promote awareness against drug abuse while providing a platform for young people to showcase their creativity. Interested participants can register through the official MY Bharat portal. The last date for registration and submission of entries is July 27.
Youth in the 15–29 years age groups are eligible to participate in competitions including dance, singing, street plays, painting, debate, reel-making, slogan writing and poetry writing.
The spokesperson urged eligible youth to participate enthusiastically and contribute to the national mission of building a Drug-Free India and a Developed India. Winners at the district level will be honoured and will also get an opportunity to participate in the state-level programme.
