Chandigarh, July 23- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday chaired the meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee in Sirsa, where he heard public grievances relating to various departments. Of the 19 complaints placed before the Committee, 18 were resolved and disposed of on the spot, while one complaint was deferred to the next meeting. Former Governor of Odisha, Prof. Ganeshi Lal was also present.

Parmjeet Singh, a resident of village Ganga complained that Sultan Singh of village Jhutti khera had died on June 11, 2000, had never married, and that his 40 kanals and one marla of land had allegedly been transferred through a forged will. The Chief Minister directed that the matter be investigated by the Vigilance Department. Earlier, the case had been examined by the District Revenue Officer.

The Chief Minister also ordered an inquiry into the solar panels installed by M/s Som Corporation, Hisar. The matter was raised during the meeting by Vinod Kumar of village Gudia khera, who stated that despite applying on December 18, 2024, and making the required payment, the company neither installed the solar panels nor refunded the amount. Similar complaints regarding the same company and alleged irregularities in solar panel installations were also brought before the meeting.

The Chief Minister directed action against the police official found at fault in connection with a complaint filed by Kamlesh Kaur of Dhani Satnam, Rania police station area, in an assault case. Kamlesh Kaur alleged that although she had been attacked, a compromise was shown to have been reached through a village panchayat with the other party, and the signatures of her minor child had been obtained on the compromise document. The Chief Minister took cognizance of the fact that obtaining a minor's signatures on such a document is a serious matter and ordered appropriate action.

The Chief Minister directed action against a bank and ordered payment of compensation along with interest in a case where the premium under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana had been deducted but compensation was not paid. The complaint was filed by Sushil Kumar of Rupawas village, who alleged that although the insurance premium for the 2022 rabi crop had been deducted, the insurance claim was not paid.

In another case, Anup Singh of village Barsi in Bhiwani district complained that Shamsher Singh, a BLEO in the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, had retired on March 31, 2019, passed away due to cancer on November 27, 2024, and was unmarried. His mother, Vidya Devi, was dependent on his pension. Pension-related documents were required to be forwarded to the Accountant General, but the SDO had rejected the case at the local level. The Chief Minister ordered an inquiry into the matter.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister also directed the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) to investigate and take action in a case relating to the allotment of a flat in Sector-21. Vijay Kumar of Anand Vihar complained that he had been allotted a flat, was first asked to deposit Rs. 55,000 and later Rs. 1.30 lakh, after which an allotment letter was issued. However, he neither received physical possession of the flat nor were basic amenities provided. The Chief Minister directed that all such pending cases be resolved. He also ordered that this complaint be placed before the next meeting.

*New notification to enable pension benefits for persons with disabilities*

While hearing a complaint by Rampal of village Poharka, the Chief Minister said that a new notification had been issued regarding the family income criterion for disability certificates for persons with disabilities below 18 years of age. Under the revised income limits, eligible beneficiaries would receive pension benefits.

In another complaint Roop Chand of Kalyan Nagar complained that he had purchased land from Ramji Lal in 2021, on which a tubewell had already been installed. However, the electricity connection for the tubewell remained in another person's name, and he sought its transfer. The existing connection holder did not wish to surrender the connection.

The Chief Minister directed action against the then concerned official for granting a tubewell connection on another person's land and ordered the Additional Deputy Commissioner to conduct an inquiry. The Superintending Engineer of the Corporation acknowledged that an error had occurred while granting the connection in 2010. The Chief Minister directed that separate connections be provided to both farmers.

The Chief Minister also directed the Additional Deputy Commissioner to inquire into a complaint filed by farmer Mahender and others of village Chhatrian. Similarly, he directed the police to take action on a complaint submitted by Sukhdev Singh and Roop Chand of Mandi Dabwali.

*Two projects inaugurated*

Before the meeting, the Chief Minister planted a sapling under the 77th District-Level Van Mahotsav campaign at Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa.

Thereafter, he inaugurated two development projects. At the university auditorium complex, he inaugurated the Vita Milk Chilling Centre at Dabwali, constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.30 crore. The centre has a daily milk storage capacity of 20,000 litres and is expected to benefit milk producers from more than 35 villages in the Dabwali area.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Integrated Drug De-addiction Centre at the Civil Hospital. Built at a cost of Rs. 90 lakh under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in collaboration with HDFC Bank, the facility includes a six-bed indoor rehabilitation ward. It is equipped with psychiatric consultation facilities, counselling rooms, individual counselling rooms, a psychological therapy area, group therapy and activity rooms, and an e-library.Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Shantanu Sharma, Superintendent of Police, Sh. Deepak Saharan and other dignitaries also remained present on this occasion.

CM Congratulates Farmers of Sisra district as district's renowned kinnow get GI Tag

Chandigarh, July 23- Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday congratulated the farmers of Sirsa after Sirsa Kinnow received the Geographical Indication (GI) Tag. He said that it is the first fruit from Haryana to earn this prestigious recognition. He said the GI Tag has established Sirsa Kinnow's identity at both the national and international levels and will help increase farmers' income by enhancing the product's market value.

The Chief Minister said this while interacting with mediapersons after chairing the District Public Relations and Grievance Committee meeting in Sirsa, where he also heard public grievance . He urged farmers to maintain the quality and production standards of Sirsa Kinnow so that the recognition earned through the GI Tag continues to grow. He congratulated the farming community on achieving this milestone.

Earlier, the Chief Minister honoured progressive farmers, officials and experts who played a key role in securing the GI Tag for Sirsa Kinnow. Those felicitated included progressive farmers Nikhil Mehta of Baragudha, Manoj Kumar of Ellenabad, Krishan Kumar of Dabwali, and HDO Seema Kamboj for their significant contributions.

District Horticulture Officer Deen Mohammad informed that Sirsa Kinnow has become Haryana's first independently registered agricultural product to receive a GI Tag. Earlier, Basmati and Phulkari had received GI recognition jointly, but Sirsa Kinnow has now established a distinct identity as a unique agricultural produce of Haryana.

He added that in the absence of an independent GI Tag, Sirsa Kinnow was often sold along with kinnow from other states, preventing farmers from receiving the premium price their high-quality produce deserved. With the GI Tag, farmers are expected to get better market value, while the brand value and recognition of Sirsa Kinnow will also be significantly strengthened.

*Government Working for the welfare of Youth- Chief Minister*

Responding to another question, the Chief Minister said that the CET and NEET examinations in Haryana were conducted smoothly without any inconvenience, and adequate transportation facilities were provided to candidates. He said that the Opposition attempted to mislead and provoke the youth, whereas the government has been working sincerely for their welfare and empowerment. He said the Opposition should introspect on how young people were treated during its tenure. The Chief Minister added that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's vision is to empower and strengthen the youth of the country.

Haryana Presents Roadmap for Future-Ready School Education at National Ministers' Conclave in New Delhi

Chandigarh, July 23- Haryana Education Minister Sh. Mahipal Dhanda outlined the State's vision for holistic and future-ready school education while addressing the two-day national conclave of State and Union Territory Education Ministers in New Delhi, held at the Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam Auditorium, Pusa, New Delhi, on July 22 and 23.

The conclave chaired by the Union Education Minister. Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan, reviewed the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes and deliberated on key priorities for strengthening school education across the country.

Addressing the conference, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda said he has complete faith in the capability, dedication and competence of Haryana's teachers, describing them as the greatest strength of the State's education system and the real architects of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The Education Minister said the purpose of education extends beyond imparting textbook knowledge or promoting intellectual development. True education, he said, is that which strengthens a child's character, moral values, self-confidence and emotional understanding.

He said Haryana's education policy aims to provide every child with equal opportunities to progress according to his or her individual interests and abilities. The State is transforming schools into vibrant institutions that nurture children's aspirations, talents and overall personality, rather than merely serving as centres of academic instruction, said the Cabinet Minister.

Highlighting Haryana's initiatives to improve the quality of school education, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda said the State Government is placing special emphasis on strengthening Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and improving learning outcomes. Practical and skill-oriented curricula are being introduced to foster skills and an entrepreneurial mindset among students, while modern sports infrastructure is being developed to identify and nurture sporting talent from the school level.

Emphasising the pivotal role of teachers, the Education Minister said teachers do much more than teach the curriculum. They instil discipline, values and self-confidence in children and shape the nation's future every day in classrooms. They are laying the foundation for Viksit Bharat 2047, he said, adding, I have complete faith in the capability, dedication and competence of our teachers, said the Minister. He also lauded the teaching fraternity of the State.

Stressing the need to continuously upgrade teachers' knowledge and skills, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda proposed that teacher training should be strengthened through collaboration with premier institutions such as ITIs, IIMTs, IIMs and CSIR. Such collaboration, he said, would make teacher training more effective, contemporary and outcome-oriented by equipping teachers with modern pedagogical practices and research-based teaching methodologies.

Modern Rest House to be Constructed at Uninda Village in Ateli at a Cost of Rs. 15.87 crore- Ranbir Gangwa

Chandigarh, July 23- Haryana Public Works (Buildings & Roads) and Public Health Engineering Minister, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa said that the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, is accelerating infrastructure development across Haryana. As part of these efforts, a modern rest house will be constructed at Uninda village in Ateli, Mahendragarh district, at an estimated cost of Rs. 15.87 crore. Administrative approval for the project has been granted.

Sh. Ranbir Gangwa said that the proposed rest house will be equipped with all modern amenities to provide better facilities for officials, public representatives, and visitors. The project will also help ensure smoother functioning of government activities in the region while enhancing public convenience.

He further said that all technical formalities related to the project have been completed. The building will be provided with all essential infrastructure, including a reliable electricity supply and other necessary facilities, to ensure high-quality services.

The Cabinet Minister directed the officers to complete the construction within the stipulated timeline while maintaining the highest quality standards. He said the state government is committed to strengthening infrastructure across Haryana and ensuring that the benefits of development reach every part of the state.

Haryana Education Minister Pays Courtesy Visit to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

Chandigarh, July 23- Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Sh. Nitin Gadkari at his residence in New Delhi and sought his guidance on the state's overall development and strengthening of road infrastructure.

During the meeting, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda held detailed discussions on improving educational infrastructure and enhancing highway connectivity across Haryana. He said that the country has witnessed unprecedented growth in road and infrastructure development under Sh. Nitin Gadkari as Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways. He added that the extensive network of national highways and expressways in Haryana has made travel safer and more convenient for students, teachers and the general public.

Chandigarh, July 23- Haryana Cooperation and Tourism Minister, Dr Arvind Kumar Sharma on Thursday visited Munimpur village in Jhajjar district to meet the families of four persons who lost their lives after being exposed to toxic gas inside a well. Describing the incident as deeply tragic and heartbreaking, he assured the bereaved families that the State Government and the district administration stand firmly with them during this difficult time and that all eligible assistance would be provided without delay.

Interacting with the grieving families, Dr. Arvind Sharma conveyed his condolences and said the government would ensure that every form of relief admissible under the rules reaches the affected families in a timely manner.

Expressing concern over such incidents, Dr. Arvind Sharma appealed to the public not to enter abandoned wells, tanks, sewers or other confined spaces without proper safety equipment and prior gas testing. He cautioned that toxic gases in such enclosed spaces are often invisible but can prove fatal within moments.

He further advised that if a person or an animal gets trapped inside a well, tank or sewer, people should refrain from attempting a rescue on their own. Instead, they should immediately inform the district administration, fire services, police or other emergency response agencies so that trained personnel can carry out the rescue operation safely.

The Minister stressed that strict adherence to safety protocols is essential to prevent the recurrence of such unfortunate incidents.

Haryana to Expand Free Viral Hepatitis Care, 10 New Treatment Centres to Bring Lifesaving Services Closer to Patients

Chandigarh, July 23 - Thousands of people in Haryana with Hepatitis B and C will soon have better access to care. The state government is opening 10 new Viral Hepatitis Treatment Centres to make it easier for patients to get free screening, diagnosis, medicines, and long-term treatment closer to home through the National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme (NVHCP).

Additional Chief Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Sumita Misra, shared this information today. She said the expansion shows the state's commitment to providing timely and affordable treatment, especially in districts with more viral hepatitis cases.

Once the new centres open, Haryana will have 36 treatment centres instead of 26. Currently, there is one Model Treatment Centre at PGIMS Rohtak, 22 Treatment Centres at District Civil Hospitals, and four at Government/Govt. aided Medical Colleges. The Government of India has approved support for all 36 Treatment Centres under the NVHCP, helping the state improve its Viral Hepatitis care system.

One of the new Treatment Centres will be at ESIC Medical College and Hospital in Faridabad, offering specialised care for the city's large industrial workforce and insured patients. The other nine Treatment Centres will be set up at Sub-Divisional Civil Hospitals in districts with more Hepatitis B and C cases. These include two in Fatehabad (Ratia and Tohana), one in Narwana (Jind), one in Guhla (Kaithal), two in Karnal (Assandh and Nilokheri), two in Sirsa (Dabwali and Ellenabad), and one in Samalkha (Panipat).

Dr. Misra said the expanded network will let patients get free screening, diagnosis, lab tests, medicines, counselling, and long-term follow-up care without travelling far to big hospitals or medical colleges. By bringing these services closer to people, the initiative should help with early diagnosis, better treatment, and fewer complications from chronic viral hepatitis.

She added that all the new Treatment Centres under the National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme will be fully equipped to provide continuous patient care as soon as they open. Further, she emphasized that all pregnant women should be tested for hepatitis B to prevent transmission of Hepatitis B from mother to child, and newborns of Hepatitis B positive pregnant women should be administered Hepatitis B Immunoglobulin and Hepatitis B vaccine with in 24 hrs of birth and both of these injections are given free of cost in all District Civil Hospitals of state.

Haryana Government to Take Students on International Educational Tours: CM Nayab Singh Saini

Chandigarh, July 23: To realise Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat-2047, the Haryana Government is preparing a new generation of talented, cultured, knowledgeable and skilled youth. With this objective, the State Government is promoting innovation, research and technological excellence in education. The Government has formulated a plan under which students will be taken on international educational tours to broaden their perspective and enhance their intellectual development.

Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini was addressing the Meritorious Students’ Felicitation Ceremony held at the Radhakrishnan Auditorium of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, on Thursday. During the programme, students who secured first positions in the Class 10, Class 12 and Olympiad examinations conducted by the Haryana Board of School Education were honoured.

The Chief Minister said that education is not merely about earning a degree; it should empower young people to become job creators rather than job seekers. Addressing the meritorious students from across the State, he said that this achievement is not the final destination but only a milestone in their journey, and they must continue striving to achieve even greater success.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that to equip students with emerging technologies such as digital education, Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics and technologies related to ISRO and DRDO, the Government has already established 391 STEM Labs in government schools. In addition, Atal Tinkering Labs are being set up in 250 schools at a cost of Rs. 25 crore. Government Model Sanskriti Schools have been established at intervals of every 10 kilometres across the State. At present, 468 PM SHRI and Model Sanskriti Schools are operational in Haryana. The Government also plans to establish 250 Excellence Schools, where students will have the option of studying in both Hindi and English mediums.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction that Mission Buniyaad and the Super 100 Programme are currently being implemented in 103 government schools. Under these initiatives, 277 students have secured admission to prestigious institutions such as IITs, NITs and IIMs, while 61 students are pursuing medical education in medical colleges.

He further said that with rapid globalisation, the Haryana Government has established the Department of Foreign Cooperation to facilitate overseas employment opportunities for the youth. Besides this, work has already begun to introduce foreign language training in schools. The Government has provided French language training to 60 teachers.

The Chief Minister warmly felicitated the students and also took selfies with them on the stage. Former Minister Sh. Opposition Misleading Youth on NEET Issue: CM Nayab Singh Saini

Chandigarh, July 23: Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has directed that FIRs be registered against those responsible for examination paper leaks and that such cases be thoroughly investigated and brought before fast-track courts to ensure speedy punishment. In contrast, the Opposition is making a malicious attempt to mislead the youth on this issue.

Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini stated this while interacting with media persons at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, on Thursday. He said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has accorded the highest priority to the secure future of students and has taken serious cognizance of the NEET paper leak case as well as other similar incidents. However, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is not even willing to discuss the issue in Parliament. He said that if the Opposition has any constructive suggestions, it should present them before the Central Government.

The Chief Minister said that several cases of examination paper leaks had also surfaced during the UPA Government, but no concrete action was taken at that time. He further said that while the previous government had allocated only Rs. 8,225 crore for the education sector, the present Central Government has increased the allocation to Rs. 1.39 lakh crore.

Referring to the neighbouring state of Punjab, the Chief Minister said that in a recent competitive examination, candidates with incorrect names were declared successful, following which the High Court stayed the result. In contrast, he said, the Haryana Government has provided employment to 1.83 lakh youth over the past 11 and a half years purely on merit, without “kharchi-parchi”. During the Congress regime, just 86,000 youth were given government jobs.

He further said that to safeguard the sanctity of examinations, the Haryana Government enacted the Haryana Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2021, under which stringent punishment ranging from two to ten years' imprisonment has been prescribed for those found guilty of using unfair means or indulging in examination-related malpractices.

The Chief Minister said that Rahul Gandhi and other Opposition parties should focus on resolving the problems faced by students instead of attempting to derive political mileage by spreading confusion. He added that if the Opposition has any suggestions, they should place them before Parliament and engage in meaningful discussions so that the examination system can be further strengthened.
