HAMIRPUR, 13.07.26-The NCC Annual Training Camp–233, being conducted at NIT Hamirpur, witnessed an impressive and highly informative Aeromodelling Display presented by NCC cadets. The event was successfully organized under the able leadership and guidance of Wing Commander Kunal Sharma, Camp Commandant and Commanding Officer, 1 Himachal Pradesh Air Squadron NCC, Kullu.
As part of the programme, Junior Division cadets displayed an outstanding exhibition of various static aeromodelling projects. Cadets from DAV Mandi, DAV Mohal, Kendriya Vidyalaya Ramshila, DAV Lakkar Bazar (Shimla), DAV Manali, CIS Kullu, and LMS Kelheli showcased their innovative models, demonstrating remarkable creativity, technical proficiency, and engineering skills. Their exhibits received widespread appreciation from the audience.
In addition, Senior Division cadets from Government College Kullu and IIT Mandi successfully demonstrated Control Line Aircraft Models, captivating the attention of officers, instructors, and fellow cadets with their precision and flying skills.
The highlight of the event was a spectacular aerial display featuring self-designed drones and Radio-Controlled (RC) Aircraft developed and operated by the cadets. The air show was conducted under the technical supervision of Aeromodelling Instructor Reshma, while the overall planning and execution of the programme were carried out under the guidance of Wing Commander Kunal Sharma.
The dignitaries and officers present on the occasion highly appreciated the cadets for their technical competence, innovation, discipline, teamwork, and exceptional performance. The aeromodelling activities not only fostered a deeper interest in science, technology, aviation, and innovation but also provided an excellent platform for cadets to demonstrate their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and technical expertise.
On this occasion, Flying Officer Nishchal Sharma, Flying Officer Dr. Chaman, Aeromodelling Instructor Reshma, the PI Staff, Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), and Caretaker Officers played a significant role in mentoring the cadets and ensuring the successful conduct of the programme.
