CM Nayab Singh Saini offers prayers on Vishwakarma Diwas

Chandigarh, October 22 — Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini today performed prayers on the occasion of Vishwakarma Diwas at his residence ‘Sant Kabir Kutir’. The Chief Minister offered flowers and paid obeisance to the idol of Lord Vishwakarma. On this occasion, BJP State President Sh. Mohan Lal Badoli was also present.
The Chief Minister extended heartfelt greetings of Vishwakarma Day to the people of the state and said that Lord Vishwakarma is the symbol of creation, hard work and skill. He guided society on the path of progress through craftsmanship, construction and expertise. On this occasion, the Chief Minister prayed for happiness, peace and prosperity in the lives of artisan brothers.
The Chief Minister said that the ‘Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana’ launched by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi is an important step towards empowering the skills of traditional artisans and craftsmen. Carrying forward this spirit, the Haryana Government has also implemented several schemes in the state to provide training, financial assistance and access to modern tools to artisans, technicians and self-employed individuals.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini also extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the citizens of the state on the auspicious festivals of Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj.

Eternal Message of Gita Resonates in Japan
Copies of Bhagavad Gita Gifted to Consulate General of India, Osaka
Chandigarh, October 22 — In a special programme organized by the Haryana Government, 100 copies of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita (Japanese edition) were presented to the Consulate General of India in Osaka, Japan, Sh. Chandru Appar. The copies were formally handed over by Assistant Professor at Osaka University, Sh. Vikas Pandey, and Ms. Nikita, who is currently residing in Tokyo.
On this occasion, Haryana Government’s Joint Director of the Department of Foreign Cooperation, Ms. Heena Bindlish, Advisor to the Chief Minister in the Department of Foreign Cooperation, Sh. Pawan Choudhary, Honorary Secretary of KDB, Sh. Upender Singhal, GM HSIIDC , Sh. Sanjay Garg, also joined the event via video conference.
During the programme, detailed discussions were held on spreading the eternal message of the Gita across Japan and other countries. CGI Osaka, Sh. Appar, expressed interest in organizing an online Gita learning course for Japanese students.
It is noteworthy that the International Gita Mahotsav will be celebrated in Kurukshetra from November 15 to December 5, 2025. During this period, cultural and spiritual programmes will be organized in 51 countries. On this occasion, the Haryana delegation also requested CGI Osaka to ensure participation of Japanese representatives in the International Gita Mahotsav and the upcoming Surajkund Mela under the cultural exchange programmes between the two nations.

Vishwakarma Day Symbolizes Respect for Skill, Labour and Dedication: Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa
Chandigarh, October 22 – Haryana’s Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Sh. Ranbir Gangwa, while paying obeisance to Lord Vishwakarma on Vishwakarma Day, said that Lord Vishwakarma was the first engineer and craftsman of creation. His life inspires us towards creativity, hard work, and innovation. This festival is not only an opportunity to honour craftsmen and workers but also conveys the message that any work done with dedication and sincerity becomes a true form of worship. This day holds special significance for labourers, artisans, engineers, and those associated with industries.
Sh. Ranbir Gangwa participated as the Chief Guest in a programme organized by Sh. Vishwakarma Charitable Trust in Hisar on the occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti on Wednesday.
He said that Lord Vishwakarma teaches us that knowledge and technology should be used for the welfare of society and the progress of humanity. In today’s era, skill development and entrepreneurship are extremely important subjects. Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini have prioritized both these areas.
He stated that in today’s highly competitive world, skill development is of greatest importance for students. Relying only on traditional academic knowledge is not enough. To achieve success and lead a fulfilling life, students must acquire diverse skills. The Government is continuously working on promoting skill development schemes and entrepreneurship. The Government believes that investing in skill development and entrepreneurship is an investment towards building a bright future for the country.
Moving forward with the vision of building a Developed India, Haryana has established itself as one of the most progressive industrial power hubs in India over the past decade due to industry-friendly and labour welfare policies. Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini envisions Haryana as a state where youth are provided not only quality education but also meaningful guidance, purpose, and opportunities. With this approach, every university has been directed to run collaborative programmes with industry partners so that the gap between education and employment can be minimized.
He further said that the Haryana State Research Fund has been established to promote research. The State Government is working towards setting up one Model Skill College and one Model Skill School in every district. The resolve of the “Non-stop Government” is to ensure quality education, employment and promotion of innovation.
He said that the present Haryana Government has created a system through which educated youth can get employment based on their abilities. Citing the recruitment to Haryana Civil Services as an example, he said that it has been possible only under the current Government that students who excel in studies are being selected purely on merit. Additionally, the government has also ensured reservation for people belonging to Backward Classes in Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies.
