CHANDIGARH, 14.08.24-On the 13th August, a viva- voce examination was held at PML Business School for the students of B.Voc semester 2 and semester 4 and M.Voc semester 2 Fashion Technology & Apparel Design. A total of 80 students attended the event.
44 students of B.Voc semester 2 and semester 4 and M.Voc semester 2 FTAD presented their internship experiences through poster presentation, focusing on various dimensions of the fashion and apparel industry. Their posters highlighted:
*Design Innovation: Students showcased their contributions to the design and development of new clothing lines. The posters depicted sketches, mood boards, and final products.
*Production Techniques: Some posters provided detailed insights into the production processes the students were involved in, including fabric selection, garment construction, and quality assurance.
*Trend Analysis: A few students focused on market trends, using their posters to illustrate the research they conducted on current fashion trends and consumer preferences.
*Sustainability in Fashion: Several students explored sustainable fashion practices during their internships, and their posters highlighted the use of eco-friendly materials for dyeing and ethical production methods.
*Customer Relations: Posters also highlighted experiences in customer service roles, emphasizing the importance of effective communication, sales strategies, and customer satisfaction.
The event provided valuable insights into the students’ capabilities and the practical applications of their studies. This experience not only enhanced the students' presentation skills but also prepared them for future professional opportunities. Viva Voce was taken by Dr Sumita Sikka, HOD Fashion Designing Department. Dr Ajay Sharma, Principal of the college witnessed the progress of the students and appreciated their works. He also congratulated the faculty members Ms. Tania Sharma, Ms. Ekta Dhiman and Ms. Dikshita for mentoring the students. The event was a testament to the effectiveness of the internship program in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
