*Energy Minister Anil Vij Congratulates Newly Appointed Haryana BJP President Archana Gupta, Says “Her Appointment Will Give New Momentum to Haryana BJP”*
*Minister Anil Vij Hits Back at Kharge’s Inflation Remark, Says “Kharge Has Lost His Memory”*
Chandigarh, May 28 – Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to newly appointed Haryana BJP State President Smt. Archana Gupta on her appointment. He said that “Archana Gupta is an active and dedicated party worker, and her appointment as State President will put wheels into motion for Haryana BJP and further strengthen the organisation.”
While interacting with mediapersons, Sh. Anil Vij said that he had spoken to the newly appointed State President earlier this morning. He remarked that appointing a woman as the State President is a positive step and that after a long time a woman has once again been given the responsibility to lead the party in Haryana. He recalled that earlier former Health Minister and Yamunanagar MLA Kamla Verma had also served as the State BJP President. “Now once again, the party has provided an opportunity to a capable woman leader,” he added.
Energy Minister Anil Vij further said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is a truly democratic organisation where organisational elections are conducted at every level. He explained that the process begins from booth-level elections, followed by mandal, state and finally national-level organisational elections. Taking a dig at opposition parties, he said that many other political parties function like agencies rather than democratic organisations. “In those parties, leadership is imposed from the top and positions are distributed downward, whereas BJP follows a democratic structure and a proper organisational system,” he said.
*Anil Vij’s sharp response to Kharge’s statement on inflation*
Responding to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi over inflation, Sh. Anil Vij said that “Kharge ji appears to have lost his memory.” He said that Congress leaders remained in power for several decades and inflation also existed during their tenure, yet they never raised such concerns at that time.
Sh. Vij said that the present global inflationary trends are primarily the result of international circumstances and not due to decisions taken by the Government of India. Referring to rising global oil prices, he said that India has managed to maintain far better control over fuel prices compared to many other countries. He added that disruptions in international trade routes and global tensions have impacted economies across the world.
The Energy Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously making efforts to minimise the burden of inflation on the common people and ensure economic stability despite challenging international conditions.
