Chandigarh, April 30:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh conducted a special anti-encroachment drive across the city to curb illegal vending and ensure smooth public movement.
During the extensive drive, enforcement teams issued a total of 119 challans to unregistered vendors found operating in violation of civic regulations.
The drive was carried out in multiple sectors and key market areas, focusing on removing unauthorized encroachments from roadsides, public spaces, and busy commercial zones.
In addition to penalizing illegal vendors, the MCC also impounded four abandoned and dumped vehicles, along with other encroaching items obstructing public spaces.
