Jalandhar, 10.02.26-; Adding yet another milestone to its world record legacy, Lovely Professional University (LPU) has once again etched its name into global history by achieving its 6th Guinness World Record, this time through an extraordinary celebration of culinary excellence and national pride.
The record was created for the largest display of meringue based sandwich cookies (macarons), featuring an impressive 10,829 tri coloured macarons meticulously arranged to form the iconic Indian national flag. This remarkable achievement surpassed the previous record of 9,600, transforming the LPU campus into a vibrant canvas of culinary artistry and patriotism.
Students and faculty members from the School of Hotel Management & Tourism dedicated immense skill and passion to this monumental endeavour, taking pride in representing India on a global platform. The tricolour macaron spectacle evoked a deep sense of unity and emotion, making it a truly memorable occasion for the entire university community.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, stated, "This Guinness World Record is a vivid manifestation of the 'EduRevolution' ethos that has been integral to LPU's DNA for over a decade.
