MAHENDERGARH, 30.01.26-Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Central Library, Central University of Haryana CUH), Mahendrgarh conducted the induction programme of “Research and Publication Ethics” Course on 30th January, 2026. The purpose of the induction programme was to introduce the course curriculum and importance of course while pursuing PhD. More than 50 PhD scholars from various Departments of the University participated who are pursuing the Course.
In 2019-20, UGC mandated all higher education institutes to organise a two-credit “Research and Publication Ethics” course for PhD students as part of their PhD Course Work. This course covers all the basic concepts related to research ethics, scientific conduct, publication misconduct, avoidance of plagiarism, research tools, etc. The course intends to inculcate the ethical values in carrying out research and publishing activities. Central University of Haryana, the Central Library conducts this Course centrally for PhD students of all Departments since 2020-21.
The University Librarian and Coordinator of the Course, Dr. Santosh C. H. thanked the Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar for his support and encouragement for organising the Course for the PhD students of 2025-26 Winter Session. In the induction programme, he shared all necessary details and instructions related to the Course.
Dr. Rajeev Vashistha, Deputy Librarian informed the PhD students about the library services and its resources offered by the Central Library. Mr. Naresh Kumar, Assistant Librarian introduced various e-resources subscribed by the Library. Dr. Vinita Malik, Information Scientist, oriented the students about the ICT related services, Journal Finders and also anchored the program. The PhD students interacted with the Library team and cleared their doubts.
