Chandigarh, December 3, 2025: Hon’ble Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh today paid rich floral tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of independent India, on his birth anniversary at Lok Bhavan. Secretary to Governor Shri DK Behera, IAS and other senior officers of Lok Bhavan and staff members were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Prof Ghosh said that Dr Rajendra Prasad was a towering statesman, an exemplary freedom fighter and a scholar whose life continues to inspire the nation as a whole. He described Dr Prasad as a symbol of humility, integrity, and unwavering commitment to nation-building.

“His outstanding contribution to India’s freedom struggle and his dignified service as the first President of the Republic set high standards of constitutional propriety and public life,” Hon’ble Governor Prof Ghosh said.

The Hon’ble Governor urged the people, especially the youth, to draw inspiration from the life and values of Dr Rajendra Prasad and contribute meaningfully to the progress of the nation. He emphasized that remembering such great personalities encourages society to uphold the virtues of honesty, discipline and national unity.
