Online certificate for verification of weights and measures will now be issued within 3 days

Chandigarh, December 1 — The Haryana Government has made an important change to a service notified under the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014, pertaining to the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department (Legal Metrology Organisation).

The time limit for issuing or renewing the online certificate for the verification of weights, measures, and related equipment has been reduced from 30 days to 3 days.

For this service, the Legal Metrology Officer (Inspector) has been designated as the competent officer. The Assistant Controller, Legal Metrology, has been designated as the First Grievance Redressal Authority, while the Deputy Controller, Legal Metrology, has been designated as the Second Grievance Redressal Authority.

Requisitions for Group-C posts to be sent to HSSC by December 10

Promotion of Group-D employees to fill vacant clerk posts under consideration

Chandigarh, December 1 — The Haryana Government has extended the last date for sending requisitions for Group-C posts under the direct recruitment quota to the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) from November 15 to December 10, 2025.

Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi has issued fresh instructions to all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, and Managing Directors, Chief Administrators and Chief Executive Officers of all Boards and Corporations. These instructions have been issued as a partial amendment to the earlier directions dated November 10, 2025.

In addition, the Government has decided not to send any requisition for Clerk posts to the HSSC for the time being, as the matter of filling vacant Clerk posts through the promotion of Group-D employees under a common cadre is currently under consideration. Therefore, departments, boards and corporations that have already sent requisitions for Clerk posts to the Commission have been directed to withdraw them with immediate effect. The Commission has also been instructed not to take any further action on such requisitions.
