j

Chandigarh, November 27 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, today reminded West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of the arrogance of Ravana, saying, “It is not Mamata Banerjee speaking, it is her arrogance. Those who are arrogant destroy themselves. Ravana too was filled with arrogance, and he was destroyed.”

Sh. Vij was responding to media questions regarding Mamata Banerjee’s statement alleging that BJP is trying to implement CAA in border areas through SIR, and warning that “if I am targeted in Bengal, I will shake the nation.”

Responding to another question about Punjab becoming the most debt-ridden state in the country, Sh. Vij criticized both the current and previous governments of Punjab, stating,
“These people have looted Punjab and hollowed it out. There was a time when Punjab was considered the most prosperous state in the country, but successive governments ruined it. Today, Punjab is under massive debt and its condition is extremely poor.”

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s recent statement that “the Constitution will not be allowed to be attacked,” Sh. Vij countered that “No one is attacking the Constitution. Everything is functioning according to it and all rules are being followed. In fact, it was Congress that attacked the Constitution. Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi sidelined the Constitution and imposed Emergency, snatching away the fundamental rights of citizens.”
Sh. Vij further said that“Congress leader Rahul Gandhi continues to attack constitutional institutions — sometimes the Election Commission, sometimes the CBI. It is Congress that has been consistently attacking the Constitution.”
