*Haryana Government giving top priority to Gau Sanrakshan and Natural Farming- Nayab Singh Saini*
*CM inaugurates Swadeshi National Godhan Summit 2025 in New Delhi*
Chandigarh, November 5 — Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the Haryana Government has been consistently working with top priority towards Gau Sanrakshan. The government has taken several initiatives for the development of Gaushalas, protection of Gauvansh, and promotion of natural farming.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the inauguration of the Swadeshi National Godhan Summit 2025 on Wednesday, organised under the guidance of Guru Dalip Singh Maharaj at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi, on the occasion of the 556th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The summit, which will continue till November 10, is being attended by many public representatives from across the country.
The Chief Minister also visited the grand Namdhari exhibition set up in the stadium. The six-day summit will provide opportunities for deep discussions and progress on Gau Sanrakshan.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Gau Seva and farming are complementary to each other. 'Gau Mata' is the foundation of our economy. Since ancient times, in our country, a person owning more cows was considered wealthier. The milk of indigenous cows is extremely beneficial in the prevention and treatment of diabetes and heart diseases, he said.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has emphasized ‘Vocal for Local’ to make India Atmanirbhar. The path of ‘Gau Mata Sanrakshan’ and the strength of ‘Swadeshi’ is what leads us toward Atmanirbhar Bharat. Therefore, we must work actively and wholeheartedly in this direction, he said.
The Chief Minister further said that making the state free from stray cattle is one of the government’s priorities. For this, two Gau Abhyaranyas have been established in Panipat and Hisar, with proper arrangements for sheds, water, and fodder. He added that around 4 lakh Gauvansh are being looked after in 686 Gaushalas across Haryana. Solar energy plants have been installed in 330 Gaushalas. The registration of Gaushala land is done free of cost, and the budget of the Gau Seva Aayog has been increased to Rs. 595 crore, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
Extending greetings on the occasion of Guru Parv, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Baba Nanak Ji gave us three mantras, Kirat Karni (work with honesty), Vand Chhakna (share with others), and Naam Japna (remember God). He urged everyone to adopt these three principles in life and move forward by following them.
Ms. Jeevan Kaur, Ms. Gurmit Kaur, former MP, Smt. Sunita Duggal, Chairman, Haryana Gau Seva Aayog, Sh. Sarvan Garg, and several other dignitaries and officers also remained present on this occasion.

*‘Vande Mataram’ to resonate across Haryana on November 7*

Chandigarh, November 5 — Haryana is set to resonate with the patriotic spirit of ‘Vande Mataram’ on November 7, 2025, marking 150 years of the iconic national song. The Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini chaired a review meeting on Wednesday with the senior officers and deputy commissioners, who joined via video conferencing regarding the preparations of the event.
During the meeting, he directed the officers and the Deputy Commissioners to organize the event across the state in a grand and dignified manner. Notably, acting on the call of the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the ‘Vande Mataram’ song will be sung simultaneously across the country at 10:00 a.m. on November 7, symbolizing unity and national pride. Haryana too will participate with full enthusiasm and grandeur.
The Chief Minister said that the programme should be organised at the division, district, sub-division, and block levels. Members of the Council of Ministers, MPs, and MLAs will attend as chief guests. In addition, all government and private schools, colleges, and universities across Haryana will organize the singing of Vande Mataram on November 7, he said.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Education has been directed to immediately inform all principals about the event. Students as well as their parents should be invited to participate. The Chief Minister further directed officers to play Vande Mataram on LED screens at all major public places in the evening.
During the meeting, Director General, Information, Public Relations, Languages, Art & Culture, Department, Sh. K. Makrand Pandurang apprised the Chief Minister that events related to Vande Mataram will be held throughout the year from November 7, 2025, to November 7, 2026, in four phases.
Sh. K. Makrand Pandurang further shared that the first phase will take place from November 7 to 14, 2025, during which the Chief Minister will attend the inaugural event in Ambala as the chief guest. The second phase will be held from January 19 to January 26, 2026. The third phase will run from August 7 to August 15, 2026, and will be linked to the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The fourth and final phase will be organised from November 1 to 7, 2026.
He also informed that the Government of India has launched an app, vande mamtram@150.in app, through which individuals can upload their own renditions of Vande Mataram after the mass singing on November 7. The best performers will receive certificates and awards.
Chief Secretary, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sh. Arun Gupta, and other senior officers from various departments also attended the meeting.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister performed parikrama of the Nishan Sahib located within the Gurdwara premises and offered prayers at the Guru’s feet.
Interacting with the media persons, the Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Prakash Parv and prays for the good health and progress of every individual.
The Chief Minister said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji imparted invaluable teachings for the welfare of society and the upliftment of humanity, which remain deeply relevant even today. He added that this sacred occasion gives us an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to imbibe and follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in our lives.
He said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji imparted three fundamental principles to humanity -Naam Japo, Kirat Karo and Vand Chhako. By embracing these teachings, we can further nurture the spirit of service, generosity, and social harmony in our society.
