Chandigarh, 26 October: The Postgraduate Department of Economics at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, in collaboration with M. R. Pai Foundation and Forum of Free Enterprise, Mumbai, organised a two-day Leadership Training Programme on the theme ‘Learn to Lead’. The programme aimed to equip students with essential leadership and interpersonal skills through interactive sessions led by expert resource persons Mr. Vivek D. Patki and Mr. Sudhir Pai, Associate Faculty and Professional Trainers from the M. R. Pai Foundation.
Day one featured sessions on ‘Goal Setting and Achieving: A Roadmap to Success’ and ‘Mastering Habits’ by Mr. Sudhir Pai, and ‘Sharpening Communication Skills’ and ‘Decision-Making and Problem-Solving Abilities’ by Mr. Vivek Patki. The second day focused on ‘Believing in Oneself: Building Meaningful Connections’ and ‘Enhancing Essential Teamwork Skills’, conducted by Mr. Patki and Mr. Pai, respectively. The participants were divided into groups and engaged in team-building activities, presentations, and problem-solving exercises that fostered collaboration and self-awareness. A total of 65 students benefited from the intensive training.
Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma commended the organisers for providing a meaningful platform for experiential learning. She emphasised that a true leader embodies the three Cs- Character, Competence, and Communication, and above all, must be a good human being capable of inspiring others and bringing out their best.
