CHANDIGARH, 04.09.25-The Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, the apex body of traders in Chandigarh, welcomes the historic cut in GST rates announced by the Finance Minister. We are thankful to the Central Government for giving a boost to commerce by rationalizing GST rates on most products of daily use.

GST Rate Reduction: A Big Booster for Traders

The senior functionaries of CBM held a meeting today to express their endorsement of the recent reduction in GST slabs and the placement of most daily use items and insurance, etc., under low GST rates. This move will prove to be a big booster for the average business of traders.

CBM Leaders Extend Greetings of Gratitude

Sanjiv Chadha, President, CBM, extended greetings of gratitude to the Union Government for this move. Mohit Sood, Chairman, GST Coordination Committee, welcomed the lowering of GST slabs, which will bring relief to the middle class by increasing their purchasing power, thus resulting in more sales turnover for every trader.

Simplification of Procedures and Absolution of Pending Cases

Charanjiv Singh, Chairman, and Diwakar Sahoonja, Vice Chairman, while expressing relief and pleasure on GST slab reductions, appealed to the Government to further simplify procedures as well as absolve traders from pending old VAT assessment cases, so that traders can put more efforts into running their current businesses.

New GST Rates: A Welcome Move
