One arrested in Murder/Arms Act
A Case FIR No. 136 u/s 103(1) BNS & 25-27-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station 17 on the complaint of Monika W/o Nitin Singh, R/o #662, Sec-22/A, Chandigarh, against Arman Singh S/o Nitin Singh, R/o #662, Sec-22/A, Chandigarh, aged 19 years. The accused allegedly shot his father in the head and killed him at their residence following a dispute between the father and son regarding Arman’s relationship with a girl. The incident took place on 25-09-2026 at about 04:30 AM. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.
Three arrested under NDPS ACT
A Case FIR No. 110 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 03 on the complaint of SI Karam Chand 1999/CHG against Baldev Singh S/o Dilawar Singh, R/o Village Chak Singh Pura, District Moga (Punjab), aged 24 years. The accused was apprehended from Sukhna Lake on 25-09-2026 at about 12:30 AM, and 0.739 gram heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and sent to police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 167 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 39 on the complaint of SI Kuldeep Singh 1792/CHG against Saleem @ Billa S/o Jameel Khan, R/o #6507/A, Sec-56, Chandigarh, aged 24 years. The accused was apprehended from near Pingalwara, Kacha Rasta, Vill-Palsora, Chandigarh, on 25-09-2026 at about 04:46 PM, and 12.81 grams heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and sent to police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 129 u/s 27 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Maloya on the complaint of SI Punjab Singh 1977/CHG against Subham S/o Pardeep, R/o #2675, DMC, Sec-38 West, Chandigarh, aged 19 years. The accused was apprehended from near Sports Complex, Sec-38 West, Chandigarh, on 24-09-2026 at about 11:17 PM, while allegedly consuming heroin/Chitta using foil paper. A lighter and ₹10 currency note were also recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.

A Case FIR No. 128 u/s 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station 11 on the complaint of Shree Pal S/o Daya Nand, R/o #1490/16, Adarsh Nagar, Nayagaon (PB) against Ayush Sharma S/o Rajesh Sharma, R/o near Grand City Hotel, Naya Gaon (PB), aged 26 years. The accused, while driving I-10 car No. HP-64B-0729, allegedly hit the complainant's electric scooty near Naya Gaon Barrier, Chandigarh, on 25-09-2026 at about 05:50 AM. The complainant sustained injuries and was admitted to GH-16. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.

A Case FIR No. 175 u/s 115(2), 126(2), 351(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station 31 on the complaint of Akash S/o Arjun Singh, R/o #408, PH-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, against Palvinder, Monu and Pandi @ Pandy, who allegedly beat and threatened the complainant with a knife near Khan Meat Shop, PH-2 Industrial Area, Chandigarh, on 24-09-2026 at about 08:30 PM. The complainant sustained injuries and was admitted to GH-16.
