Chandigarh, August 20, 2026: Baba Hardev Singh Ji’s divine message, ‘Pollution, whether internal or external, is harmful in both ways’, is not merely a call for environmental conservation, but an inspiring source to purify human consciousness and make it responsible towards nature. Giving a practical shape to this inspiration, the Sant Nirankari Mission is continuously and dedicatedly working to build a green, balanced, and sustainable future through its environmental initiative, ‘Oneness One - Harmony with Nature’.
Initiated in August 2021 with the divine blessings of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and Nirankari Rajpita Ramit Ji, this unique campaign has now evolved into a nationwide mass movement. Its objective is not just planting saplings, but reviving an intimate bond with nature, establishing environmental conservation as a core life value, and creating a green, clean, and balanced earth for future generations. Over time, this campaign has continually expanded, inspiring millions of people across the country to become sensitive towards nature.
Shri Joginder Sukhija Ji, Secretary of the Sant Nirankari Mandal, shared that approximately 350 tree clusters have been established so far across various states in India, while devotees and volunteers are dedicatedly nurturing and protecting these trees at over 600 ‘Oneness One’ sites. This campaign is not limited to planting trees alone; it is also strengthening a culture of awareness, sensitivity, environmental responsibility, and collective participation toward nature within society.
Carrying this continuous effort forward, the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation is launching the sixth phase of this mega campaign on Sunday, August 23. This campaign will be held simultaneously at 630 locations across rural and urban areas nationwide. On this occasion, millions of devotees and volunteers of the Mission will participate with devotion to plant approximately 1 million (10 lakh) saplings. This extensive campaign will raise public awareness about environmental conservation while serving as a crucial step toward building a green and healthy future.
Under this campaign, tree plantation will be carried out on Sunday, August 23 at 7:00 AM at four locations in the Chandigarh Zone, which include Mohali, Dera Bassi, Lalru, and Chandigarh at the green belt adjacent to the IOC COCO Petrol Pump, Sector 33-B, near the main road.
The unique feature of this campaign is that the Mission does not limit its responsibility to merely planting saplings, but fulfills the resolution to continuously nurture them until they grow into fully developed trees. Each sapling will be regularly cared for over a period of three to five years so that they develop into dense mini-forests, enrich biodiversity, strengthen the local ecosystem, and provide a clean and green environment for future generations.
At a time when the world is facing serious challenges such as climate change, rising pollution, and the depletion of natural resources, the green resolution of the Sant Nirankari Mission conveys a message of co-existence with nature to every citizen. This campaign reminds us that the earth is not just our heritage, but our shared responsibility toward future generations. Let us all become participants in this green transformation by planting a sapling, nurturing it into a tree, and taking a pledge to protect nature.
