One arrested under Gambling Act
A Case FIR No. 63 u/s 13(A), 3, 67 Gambling Act has been registered at Police Station IT Park on the complaint of HC Rinku No. 1405/CP against Ganja S/o Ramesh, R/o #573, New Indira Colony, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, who was apprehended near Fish Market, Shastri Nagar, Chandigarh, with 100 lottery/current cycle betting slips (Parchis) and ₹2,750/- cash. The accused was arrested and later released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under NDPS ACT
A Case FIR No. 119 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-31 on the complaint of SI Gaurav Gujral No. 1920/CHG against a lady resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh (Age 25 years), who was apprehended near #2621 Small Flats, Ramdarbar and found in possession of 13.42 grams of heroin. The accused was arrested and 13.42 grams of heroin was recovered from her possession. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Voluntarily Causing Hurt
A Case FIR No. 82 u/s 115(2), 126(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-03 on the complaint of SI R.B. Bahadur S/o Hushar R/o Shyam Ka Bada, Village Kaimbwala, Chandigarh, against Ajay S/o Jeet Singh, who allegedly attacked the complainant with a knife near Anil Car Wash Centre, Kaimbwala, on 25.07.2026 at about 05:40 PM, causing sustained injuries. The victim was admitted to GMSH-16. The accused has been arrested and lodged in police lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cyber Cheating
A Case FIR No. 110 u/s 318(4), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Cyber Crime Police Station on the complaint of Vinod Kumar S/o Ramesh Chand, R/o #2182, Sector-44/C, Chandigarh (Age 46 years) against an unknown person, who cheated the complainant of ₹2,65,002/- through a fake ACK number. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 111 u/s 318(4), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Cyber Crime Police Station on the complaint of Abdul Khalid S/o Liyakat Hussain, R/o #77, Makhan Majra, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh (Age 22 years) against an unknown person, who cheated the complainant of ₹1,48,886/- through a mobile application. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Visa Fraud (Cheating)
A Case FIR No. 81 u/s 318(4), 61(2)(a) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-03 on the complaint of Gurpal Singh R/o Village Randhawa Patiala (PB) (Age 25 years) against Baljinder Singh, Gurdeep Singh, David Arora and others of Suncost Immigration Consultants, Sector-9, Chandigarh, who allegedly cheated the complainant of ₹2,50,000/- on the pretext of arranging a visa. Investigation of the case is in progress.
