Chandigarh, May 29 – Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij today took strict action against illegal colonies during the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee meeting held in Yamunanagar and directed officials to register cases against the concerned registrars involved in the registration of illegal colonies. Besides this, taking serious note of a complaint regarding the registration of a piece of land in Sector-17, Jagadhri, Sh. Vij directed that an FIR be lodged against the concerned Municipal Corporation Assistant Engineer Deepak Sukhija and ordered his immediate arrest.

Sh. Anil Vij was chairing the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee meeting in Yamunanagar. During the meeting, 15 pre-listed complaints were presented, out of which 7 cases were resolved on the spot, while directions were issued to resolve the remaining complaints before the next meeting on a priority basis.

During the meeting, a complaint was submitted by Mahendra Taneja, a resident of HSVP Sector-17, Jagadhri, alleging that a property ID had been wrongly approved and a land registry had been carried out illegally. Additional Deputy Commissioner Naveen Ahuja presented the inquiry report in the matter. Taking the issue seriously, Energy Minister Anil Vij directed the Municipal Commissioner to register an FIR against the concerned Assistant Engineer Deepak Sukhija. He also instructed the Superintendent of Police to ensure his arrest despite his transfer from the concerned post.

Similarly, taking cognizance of a complaint filed by Vijaydeep Singh, a resident of Basant Nagar, Jagadhri, regarding the development of an illegal colony on HSVP land, Sh. Vij directed the Deputy Commissioner to conduct a detailed inquiry into the action being taken by the DTP Department against illegal colonies in the district. He stated that illegal colonies later become a burden on the government as residents demand electricity, water, roads and other civic amenities, causing significant revenue losses to the state exchequer. He also directed that cases be registered against the registrars who carried out the registrations during the relevant period.

In another matter, regarding a complaint by Anil Kumar of village Lawana seeking the arrest of accused persons, Sh. Vij instructed police officials to record statements in the presence of the village Sarpanch, councillors and respected local persons to ensure impartial action. On a complaint by Parvinder Kamboj of village Fatehpur regarding crop damage caused by leakage of chemical-mixed water from a water treatment pipeline, the Minister directed the Public Health Engineering Department to investigate the pipeline leakage and take action against the responsible agency.

Similarly, on a complaint by Rajendra Kumar of village Devdhar regarding inaction in a crop theft case, Sh. Vij directed the SDM and DSP to conduct a joint inquiry and satisfy the complainant. In another matter concerning pending payment for government pond construction work, the concerned officials assured that the outstanding payment would be released within one month. On a complaint regarding illegal encroachment by Rud Singh of Laldwara Colony, the Minister ordered demarcation of the land and submission of a detailed report. In a case related to fake cylinder entries and black marketing by a gas agency, Sh. Vij ordered the formation of a joint committee under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner to thoroughly investigate the entire record of the agency.

Several public grievances were also resolved during the meeting. The sewerage issue in Madhuban Colony was resolved immediately, while directions were issued to inspect and seal, if required, a factory allegedly causing pollution in Chuharpur Kalan. Information was also shared that the drinking water pipeline work in village Fatehpur had been completed, and the work of installing speed breakers in village Rasoolpur would be completed by June 30.

Energy Minister Anil Vij directed all officers to ensure timely, transparent and sensitive disposal of public grievances and warned that accountability would be fixed in cases of negligence. He reiterated that the Haryana Government is fully committed to public welfare and follows a zero-tolerance policy against corruption, illegal encroachments and administrative irregularities.

After the meeting, while interacting with the media, Sh. Anil Vij said that the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee meeting in Yamunanagar will now be held on the last Friday of every month at 12:00 noon so that complainants are aware of the schedule and all concerned officers can ensure their presence. Besides this, he said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is a democratic party where organizational elections are conducted from time to time and leadership changes also take place periodically. In the same process, Dr. Archana Gupta has been appointed as the State President of the BJP in Haryana.

On this occasion, Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Das Arora, Sadhaura MLA Renu Bala, Deputy Commissioner Preeti, Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal, Municipal Commissioner Mahavir Prasad, Additional Deputy Commissioner Naveen Ahuja, BJP District President Rajesh Sapra, Mayor Suman Bahmani, Zila Parishad Chairman Ramesh Thaska and several other officials and committee members were present.

Chandigarh, May 29 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij today offered prayers at the sacred Saraswati origin site, Shri Adibadri Narayan Temple, located in Yamunanagar district, and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, peace and continuous progress of the people of Haryana.

On this occasion, Sh. Vij said that the Adibadri region is an important centre of Haryana’s religious, cultural and historical heritage. Situated in the foothills of the Shivalik ranges, this ancient site is widely known as the origin point of the mythological Saraswati River. He said that according to religious beliefs, many sages and saints performed penance and yajnas here during the Mahabharata era, making it a major centre of faith and devotion for devotees.

The Energy Minister said that Shri Adibadri Narayan Temple also finds mention in several ancient religious scriptures and Puranas. Devotees from across the country visit the temple to offer prayers and experience spiritual peace. He further stated that the Haryana Government is continuously making efforts to develop the Adibadri region as a major religious tourism and cultural heritage destination so that future generations can remain connected with this historic and spiritual legacy.

Sh. Vij prayed for peace, brotherhood, development and prosperity in the state and said that the government is fully committed to the overall development and welfare of the people of Haryana.
