Two arrested in Theft
A Case FIR No. 52 u/s 317(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station ITP, Chandigarh on the complaint of Brijesh Tiwari S/o Bharat Ram Tiwari R/o #1033, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh, regarding theft of his parked scooty No. CH01-CZ-7412 outside his house on 26.05.2026. On 27.05.2026, while searching near Timber Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh, the complainant spotted and apprehended one person namely Lakhan R/o #726/24, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh, who was found in possession of the stolen scooty. The stolen vehicle was recovered. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 92 u/s 305(b), 331(3) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Shubham Mittal S/o Krishan Gopal Mittal R/o House No. 501, Sector-9, Panchkula (HR), owner of a supermarket namely “New Annapurna Store”, SCO No. 73-74, Sector-38C, Chandigarh. The complainant reported that after closing the shop on 26.05.2026 at about 10:30 PM, he found on the next morning that the backside shutter lock had been broken and cash amounting to Rs. 2.5 lakh, Aadhaar card and PAN card were stolen by unknown persons. During investigation, accused Jitender Sharma R/o #91, near Khera, Naya Gaon, District Mohali (PB), aged 47 years, was arrested and lodged in police lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress
A Case FIR No. 93 u/s 303(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o Sector-38(W), Chandigarh, who reported that on 27.04.2026, she had gone to Shiv Mandir, Sector-39D, Chandigarh for listening to Shrimad Bhagwat Katha. During the event, an unknown person stole her gold chain weighing approximately 23 grams between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under Excise Act & NDPS Act
A Case FIR No. 84 u/s 111 BNS & 61-1-14 Excise Act and 20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh against Sonu @ Hira S/o Sashi Jaiswal R/o House No. 1854, Deep Complex, Hallomajra, Chandigarh, aged 27 years, who was apprehended from Room No. 2, House No. 5, near Baba Samadha Mandir, Wali Gali, Hallomajra on 26.05.2026 and recovered 31 large bottles, 798 quarters of various liquor brands, 336 cans of Kingfisher Beer, one refrigerator, Rs. 900/- cash and 57.87 grams of ganja from his possession. The accused was arrested and sent to judicial lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cyber Cheating
A Case FIR No. 74 u/s 318(4), 319(2) and 61(2) BNS has been registered at Cyber Crime Police Station, Chandigarh on the complaint of Lokesh R/o House No. 1443, Chaman Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh against an unknown person who allegedly cheated the complainant of Rs. 4,39,301/- in the name of online business through Tik Tok online shop. Investigation of the case is in progress
Cheating (Visa Fraud)
A Case FIR No. 51 u/s 318, 61 BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of, Patiala (PB) against a lady and Aman, both residents of Global Consultancy, SCO No. 143-144, Sector-09, Chandigarh and others, who allegedly cheated the complainant of Rs. 2,91,900/- on the pretext of providing visa services. Investigation of the case is in progress
A Case FIR No. 52 u/s 318(4), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mr. Jaswinder Singh S/o Sh. Jaswinder Singh R/o House No. 60, Village Badheri, Sector-41/D, Chandigarh against Amandeep @ Aman, Mansi and others of M/s Your Immigration, SCO No. 161-162, First Floor, Sector-8/C, Chandigarh, who allegedly cheated the complainant of Rs. 10,42,388/- on the pretext of sending people abroad and providing work and education visas of various countries.
Accident
A Case FIR No. 85 u/s 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Deepak S/o Sh. Devender R/o House No. 1357, Hallomajra, Chandigarh, aged 18 years against an unknown driver of a white car who allegedly hit the complainant’s pedestrian mother Santosh near Nirankari Bhawan, Ramdarbar on 26.05.2026 at about 1:30 PM. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to GMCH-32.
Quarrel / Arms Act
A Case FIR No. 76 u/s 191(2), 191(3), 190, 126(2), 109, 351(2), 61(2) BNS & 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Manoj Kumar S/o Joginder R/o Village Sisana, District Sonipat (HR), aged 44 years against Raj Kumar S/o Fateh Singh, resident of Village Kiloi, District Rohtak (HR), Mayank Malhotra, Tarun and others, who allegedly attacked the complainant with sticks, iron rods and pistols near Dumping Ground, Dadu Majra Colony on 21.05.2026. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to Sonipat Hospital. Investigation of the case is in progress.
