Chandigarh, 28 May 2026:MY Bharat Chandigarh, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, successfully organised a Declamation Contest and Reel Making Contest on the occasion of Veer Savarkar Jayanti at the MY Bharat Office, Sector 12, Chandigarh.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth across Chandigarh who showcased their creativity, patriotism, and thoughts on nation-building inspired by Veer Savarkar’s ideals.
The Declamation Contest was conducted on the theme “The Relevance of Veer Savarkar’s Thoughts in Building Viksit Bharat”, while the Reel Making Contest focused on the topic “If Veer Savarkar Spoke to Today’s Youth.”
The programme was graced by Chief Guest Sh. Sanjeev Rana, noted Social Activist and Philanthropist. Addressing the gathering, Sh. Sanjeev Rana emphasized that the youth should incorporate the ideals and values of Veer Savarkar in their daily lives so that society can guide young generations away from drugs and contribute towards fulfilling the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The event was evaluated by an esteemed jury comprising Dr. Bharti, Dr. Kriti, and Mrs. Anjali Kapoor, who appreciated the confidence, creativity, and awareness displayed by the participants.
Winners of the Declamation Contest:
1st Prize – Devishi Manhas, 2nd Prize – Kanav Khurana, 3rd Prize – Anusha Saha & Consolation Prize – Himanshi and Baljeet Singh
Winners of the Reel Making Contest:
1st Prize - Ojasv Chauhan, 2nd Prize - Kirti Naidu, 3rd Prize - Isha
All winners were awarded mementos and certificates. Participation certificates were also distributed among all participants.
The event was successfully coordinated by the organising team comprising Mr. Rachit, Aarti, Nirmal, Tammana, Inder, Abhi, and Kritika, whose efforts ensured smooth conduct of the programme.
Concluding the programme, Sh. Vinay Kumar, District Youth Officer, expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, esteemed jury members, volunteers, participants, and organising team for making the event a grand success. He encouraged the youth to continue participating in such meaningful activities that promote patriotism, leadership, and nation-building values.
