“Mamata Banerjee is an obstructionist leader who creates hurdles in every matter” – Vij

Anil Vij strongly reacted today to the statement made by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, in which he allegedly referred to elected representatives as “thieves” or “infiltrators.” Sh. Vij said that “We will bring a resolution in our Assembly against Rahul Gandhi’s statement because he has insulted elected members as well as the dignity of the Assembly.”

He further said that “Calling elected representatives ‘thieves’ or ‘infiltrators’ is not only inappropriate but also an act of insult and contempt.”

Sh. Vij was responding to questions asked by media persons in Chandigarh regarding Rahul Gandhi’s remarks about elected representatives.

The minister added that Rahul Gandhi has lost several elections and has also “lost his sense of judgment.” He emphasized that elections in the country are conducted in a proper and constitutional manner by the Election Commission of India, and making such remarks against elected representatives undermines democratic institutions.

Attack by Anil Vij on Bhagwant Mann’s statement; says—he should resign over irresponsible remarks

Vij hits back on statement regarding Punjab blasts, says—either provide proof or resign

“What can be expected from a ‘drunken Chief Minister’?”—Vij’s sharp jibe at Bhagwant Mann

BJP will win in Punjab, claims Anil Vij; says people are in a mood for change

Development possible only with a ‘double engine’ government—Vij’s big statement on 2047 vision

Chandigarh, May 6 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij strongly criticized Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over his statement regarding the recent bomb blasts in Punjab. Sh. Vij said that “Bhagwant Mann has made an irresponsible statement and should resign from his post immediately.” He also asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would form the government in Punjab with a strong majority in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Sh. Vij was speaking to media persons in Chandigarh while responding to their questions.

Replying to a question about allegations that the Punjab Chief Minister attended the Assembly after consuming alcohol, Sh. Vij took a sharp dig, saying, “What can be expected from a drunken Chief Minister?” He added that across India, the BJP is repeatedly being elected to power, and with governments already formed in 22 states, the Aam Aadmi Party and Punjab’s Chief Minister have realized that BJP will also form the government in Punjab.

Targeting Bhagwant Mann further, Sh. Vij said that as the Chief Minister also holds the Home portfolio, it is highly irresponsible for him to make such statements, especially when the matter is under investigation by agencies, including central agencies. He said Mann should either prove his claim that BJP is behind the Punjab blasts or resign from the Chief Minister’s post by the evening.

Sh. Vij emphasized that making such allegations against a political party without evidence is irresponsible and unacceptable. He questioned how the Chief Minister could make such claims without proof, adding that it reflects frustration and a sense of defeat even before the political campaign has begun.

Responding to another question, Sh. Vij said that the people of Punjab are no different from those in other states of the country. He noted that citizens in 22 states have chosen the BJP because they believe it is the party capable of delivering development. Similarly, he said, the people of Punjab are also observing the progress across the country and thinking along the same lines.

He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has demonstrated that the BJP is a party that delivers results and is committed to rapid development in every sector. He added that the Prime Minister aims to make India a developed nation by 2047, which can only be achieved when all states work together. A “double engine” government, he said, would accelerate development and bring greater benefits.

Sh.Vij also remarked that earlier governments never seriously envisioned transforming India into a developed nation. While countries that gained independence after India have progressed significantly, India remained engaged in basic infrastructure issues for years. He said that now there is a clear vision to overcome these challenges and provide fundamental facilities, and the public across states is supporting this vision by electing governments aligned with it. He expressing confidence that, on similar lines, the BJP will form the government in Punjab with a strong majority.
