Jalandhar, 06.04.26-, In a warm and memorable homecoming, Lovely Professional University (LPU) welcomed its alumni back to a campus that continues to remain a part of their journey. Alumni Homecoming 2026 brought together a global community of over 1.75 lakh alumni from 145+ countries, turning the university into a space filled with familiar laughter, shared stories, and renewed connections.
Thousands of returning alumni filled the campus with renewed energy as they reunited with batchmates, reconnected with mentors, and relived defining moments of their academic journeys. Representing regions from North America and Europe to the Middle East and Australia, LPU alumni today continue to make their mark across industries such as finance, technology, healthcare, entrepreneurship, academia, and public service, collectively reinforcing the university’s growing global impact.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, stated “Seeing this remarkable global community come together is a powerful reminder of what LPU truly stands for. Our alumni are not just building successful careers; they are shaping industries, driving innovation, and creating meaningful impact across the world. As you continue to grow and lead in your respective fields, remember that your alma mater remains your strongest foundation. Keep thinking beyond boundaries, keep creating value, and continue to inspire the generations that follow.”
Welcoming the alumni, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor of LPU, shared, “It is truly heartening to welcome you all back home. This campus will always belong to you. This year, LPU introduced the Alumni Enterprise Showcase with a clear vision to encourage and strengthen alumni led startups and businesses. Alumni displayed their ventures through curated stalls, including Alpha Clinical Laboratory by Pankaj Paswan, The Wooly Affairs by Manmeet Kaur, Namo Jewels by Yashika Jain, Khan Kesar Kashmiri Dry Fruit Mart, The Style Store by Gurpreet Kaur, She Connect, and Edumust by Amarjot Singh, reflecting the diversity and entrepreneurial spirit of LPU’s global alumni network. More than just a showcase, the expo enabled direct engagement between alumni, students, and industry, turning interactions into opportunities.
LPU also awarded 60+ alumni across diverse fields for their remarkable achievements and contributions. The awardees included Amandeep Singh Bhatti, Director at Oracle (2002–2006), Ruchi Sharma, Scientist at Cytiva (2011–2013), Aman Duggal, Vice President at EY Parthenon (2011–2015), Bibin Babu (2011–2013), Sneha Singh, a renowned Pollywood actress, and Soma Shivangi, a beauty pageant titleholder (2016–2019) and others.
During the event, LPU alumni Dr. Smati Sambyal and Dr. Sandeep Kumar launched their book Dear Future-Lessons We Wish We Had Learned Earlier, offering practical insights on discipline, balance, Kaizen, the 80/20 principle, and mindful living drawn from real experiences. The celebration also witnessed the launch of the She Connect Jalandhar Chapter, led by alumna Shilpa Miglani, aimed at empowering women across professions through a collaborative platform for growth and support.
