Chandigarh, 31 March: Health Committee of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, in collaboration with J P Eye Hospital (a unit of Dr. Aggarwal Eye Hospital, Mohali), and Optics Opticians, Chandigarh along with Bausch & Lomb, organised a free Eye Check-Up and Screening Camp for its staff and students. The camp aimed to promote awareness about eye health and facilitate the early detection of vision-related issues.
A team of experienced eye specialists and optometrists from Optics Opticians along with Bausch & Lomb conducted comprehensive eye examinations, including vision testing, refraction assessment, screening for common eye ailments, and contact lens trials. Participants also benefitted from expert consultation by Dr. Abha Wadhawan, Ophthalmologist at J P Eye Hospital, who provided valuable guidance on eye care and preventive measures to maintain healthy vision. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation, with around 200 students and staff availing the free screening services.
Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma expressed appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the medical team from J P Eye Hospital, professionals from Optics Opticians, and members of the organising committee for their invaluable support in making the camp a success.
