MAHENDERGARH, 16.03.26-The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Central University of Haryana, has received approval from the Pharmacy Council of India to start a new postgraduate specialization M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics) from the academic session 2026–27 with an intake of 15 students. The approval was granted through a decision letter issued by PCI on 01 March 2026. The university has also received continued approval for M.Pharm (Pharmacology) with 12 seats and M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy) with 6 seats for the same academic session.
Congratulating the department, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar said that the new programme reflects the university’s commitment to expanding quality pharmaceutical education and preparing skilled professionals for the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. The Vice-Chancellor further appreciated the efforts of the faculty members, non-teaching staff and administrative leadership of the department for successfully completing the regulatory process and securing the approval from the Pharmacy Council of India.
Expressing his happiness, Head of the Department, Prof. Vipan Kumar Parihar, said that the introduction of the Pharmaceutics specialization will strengthen advanced learning and research in areas such as drug formulation and modern drug delivery systems. He also expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar, for his constant guidance and support in achieving this approval.
