One arrested in Snatching
A case FIR No. 37 u/s 304(2) and 317(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Mani Majra, Chandigarh on the complaint of woman R/o Mani Majra, Chandigarh, age 60 years. She alleged that Nikku Dubey S/o Ashok Dubey R/o #38-A, Sunder Nagar, Mauli Jagran Part-2, Chandigarh, age 25 years, snatched her ear rings near Mandir Housing Board light point, Mani Majra on 14-03-2026 at about 1:09 PM. The accused was apprehended on the spot by the complainant’s son and is presently in police lock-up.
One arrested in Assault
A case FIR No. 38 u/s 115(2), 117(2), 118(2), 351(2) and 351(3) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Raghubir R/o Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, age 24 years. He alleged that Gurwinder Singh @ Gorkha S/o Ranjit Singh R/o #33, Village Dhanas, Chandigarh, age 32 years, attacked him with an iron rod near a barber shop in Dhanas on 13-03-2026, causing injuries to his head and leg. The victim was admitted to hospital. The accused has been arrested and is in police lock-up.
A case FIR No. 33 u/s 190, 191(2), 191(3), 115(2) and 126(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Harsh Kumar R/o Sector-56, Chandigarh, age 20 years. He alleged that Aniket, Gurpreet, Satta, Abhi @ Gattu and others attacked and beat him near a wine shop in Sector-41 on 13-03-2026 at about 9:30 PM. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to GH-16. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 41 u/s 318(4) and 61(2) BNS has been registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station, Chandigarh on the complaint of woman R/o Sector-35D, Chandigarh. She alleged that an unknown person cheated her of ₹7,50,000 through forgery. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 42 u/s 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2) and 61(2) BNS has been registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station, Chandigarh on the complaint of Col. Rajbir Singh Duggal R/o Victoria Enclave, Sector-50C, Chandigarh. He alleged that he was cheated of ₹12,05,000 after downloading a malicious APK file. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 46 u/s 281, 125(A) and 106(1) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mukesh Kumar R/o Janta Colony, Nayagaon, Mohali, Punjab, age 26 years. He alleged that Nand Kumar Yadav R/o Village Kaimbwala, Chandigarh, driver of E-rickshaw No. CH-01TE-6208, hit his two-year-old son Ivaan near House No. 297, Sector-15A, Chandigarh on 14-03-2026 at about 11:00 AM. The child sustained injuries and was admitted to PGI Chandigarh, where he later succumbed during treatment. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
Theft
A case FIR No. 34 u/s 305 BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Surinder Sharma R/o Village Kesri, Saha, District Ambala, Haryana, age 42 years. He alleged that an unknown person stole water taps, two bundles of electric wire and door handles from House No. 3095, Sector-28D, Chandigarh between 12-03-2026 and 14-03-2026.
A case FIR No. 39 u/s 305 and 331(3) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Saranvir Singh R/o Sector-43, Chandigarh. He alleged that an unknown person stole three pairs of gold bangles, two silver bangles, two pairs of silver anklets, two mobile phones and cash ₹18,000 from his house on the night intervening 13/14-03-2026.
