Three arrested in Assault
A case FIR No. 32 u/s 115(2), 121(1), 132, 351(2) and 3(5) of BNS has been registered at Police Station Sarangpur on the complaint of Constable Pawan Kumar. He alleged that Raj Kumar, his sons Vivek and Vikash, residents of Sector 52-D, Chandigarh, abused and assaulted him while he was on flying duty on February 19 at about 10.15 pm. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to hospital. All accused have been arrested . Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 31 u/s 318(4), 319(2) and 61(2) of BNS has been registered at Police Station Cyber Crime on the complaint of Revant Gupta, resident of Sector 20-A, Chandigarh. The complainant alleged that an unknown person cheated him of ₹94,900 through an online shopping fraud on OLX.
A case FIR No. 32 u/s 318(4), 319(2) and 61(2) of BNS has been registered at Police Station Cyber Crime on the complaint of Parit Aggarwal, resident of Sector 40-B, Chandigarh. The complainant stated that an unknown person cheated him during online hotel booking. The cheated amount has not been disclosed.
Accident
A case FIR No. 29 u/s 281 and 125(A) of BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 26 on the complaint of Parveen, resident of Mani Majra, Chandigarh. He stated that the driver of an unknown vehicle hit him from behind near Police Lines, Sector 26, on February 19 at about 8 pm and fled the spot. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to hospital.
A case FIR No. 29 u/s 281 and 125(A) of BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 34 on the complaint of Sanjana Devi, resident of Sector 45, Chandigarh. She stated that an unknown motorcyclist hit her at the Sector 33/45 dividing road on February 13 at about 7.44 pm and fled the spot. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to GMCH-32.
