Fifteen (15) persons arrested in Public Dringking
Yesterday, a drive to check on public place drinking was initiated by police station staff with the special concern of safety & security in view of the Republic Day-2026. In this drive, total 15 cases U/S 68(1)B Punjab Police Act 2007 & 355 BNS were registered under which 15 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 20.01.2025 The police stations wise detail of cases is as under:-

Snatching
A Case FIR No. 08 U/S 304(2),3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-34 Chandigarh on the complaint of Manish R/o # 202 Sector-45, Chandigarh against Unknown person sped away after snatched complainant mobile from near sector 44/45 dividing road, Chandigarh on 19-01-2026. Investigation of this case is in progress.
