Two arrested under Arms Act
A case FIR No. 03 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area against Nitish @ R/o Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, aged 20 years, who was apprehended from the parking area near Colony No. 4 light point on 16-01-2026 at about 11:15 pm, and one kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused is in police lock-up.
A case FIR No. 04 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area, Chandigarh against Karan @ Kuki R/o Phase-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, aged 22 years, who was apprehended from the parking area near cremation ground, Village Daria, on 17-01-2026 at about 1:50 am, and one kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused is in police lock-up.
One arrested under excise act
A case FIR No. 05 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-31 against Amit Kumar R/o near Hanuman Mandir, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, aged 26 years, who was apprehended near saw mill, Hallo Majra, on 17-01-2026 at about 10:10 pm, and 69 quarters of Tango Santra Masaledar Desi Sharab were recovered from his possession. The accused was later released on bail.
One juvenile arrested in Assault case
A case FIR No. 06 u/s 118(1), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station IT Park on the complaint of Vansh R/o Manimajra, Chandigarh, aged 17 years, alleging that Anmol and three other boys attacked the complainant with a dangerous weapon near Sanjivini Juice Shop, near #1615, NIC, Manimajra, on 16-01-2026 at about 10:00 pm, causing injuries. The victim was admitted to GMSH-16. During the investigation one juvenile arrested in this case. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 10 u/s 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Cyber Crime Police Station on the complaint of Ashwani Singla, R/o MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh, alleging that unknown person(s) cheated the complainant of ₹14,97,797. Investigation of this case is in progress.
