CHANDIGARH.30.12.25-In reference to the bandh and dharna call given by the JAC, the PGI Administration successfully maintained full operational capacity. Due to a robust contingency plan proactively deployed by the administration , patient care across all the departments remained entirely unaffected.
The services including OPD, Indoor, Operation Theatre, Emergency,Trauma, Diagnostics and others remained unaffected as no service was either curtailed or stopped. A total of 8770 patients were seen in OPD, 166 in Emergency*and Trauma. Around 100 new patients were admitted and 137 Surgeries were performed.
The mjority of outsource workers continued to perform their duties, a detailed present-absent report has been submitted separately.
