Chandigarh, December 27: The Lok Bhavan, Punjab, organised a Shabad Kirtan yesterday evening to pay respectful tribute to the Chhote Sahibzadas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji—Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, who attained martyrdom at the age of 9 and 7 years at Sirhind while upholding the values of religion, truth, faith and justice.
The programme was held under the guidance of the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, and witnessed reverent participation from all sections of society.
The Shabad Kirtan created a spiritually charged atmosphere, reminding everyone of the extraordinary courage, steadfast faith and supreme sacrifice of the young martyrs, who refused to renounce their principles despite severe oppression.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor said that the martyrdom of the Chhote Sahibzadas is an eternal source of inspiration for the human race to stand resolutely against injustice and to uphold moral values with courage and conviction.
The programme was attended by Haryana Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Harvinder Kalyan, Solicitor General of India Shri Satya Pal Jain, Mayor of Chandigarh Mrs. Harpreet Kaur Babla, senior officers of the Punjab and Chandigarh Administration, eminent social and political personalities, and officers and staff of the Punjab Lok Bhavan.
Punjab Governor also performed the sewa by serving Langar to the Sangat.
