MUMBAI, 18.12.25-Speed Records, in collaboration with Angad Singh, officially announced the launch of “Mann Bharya – Qawwali Version” at a grand press conference held in association with venue partner Katani Premium. The event saw the presence of Speed Records owner Dinesh Auluck ji, Salamat Ali Matoi, Rabica Wadhwan Maahi Sharma, Sardar Ali, G Khan and Jasmeen Akhtar, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Originally sung by B Praak and penned by Jaani, Mann Bharya remains one of the most loved Punjabi songs of all time. Now, the timeless heartbreak anthem is set to return in a soulful Qawwali version, performed by emerging artists Salamat Ali Matoi and Rabica Wadhwan. The music has been creatively recreated by Prince Saggu, giving the classic a fresh yet rooted sound.

The vision behind revisiting iconic Punjabi songs is to create meaningful opportunities for emerging talent and bring their artistry to a wider audience. Salamat Ali Matoi, who is also the original composer of "Tera Bina Na Guzara Hai”, has been struggling for recognition for years. With this project, Speed Records officially launches him into the Punjabi music industry as a singer, marking a significant milestone in his journey.

Adding another surprise element, Maahi Sharma, widely known for her acting and modeling, will showcase her vocals and poetic expression (shero-shayari) for the first time in this project, highlighting her versatility as an artist. This initiative reinforces Speed Records’ commitment to nurturing new talent and experimenting with fresh musical formats.

The project is part of a larger concept by Angad Singh and Pixilar Studios to revive classic Punjabi hits by presenting them in different musical versions, allowing audiences to experience familiar songs through new creative lenses. Mann Bharya – Qawwali Version stands as a blend of tradition, emotion, and innovation, promising to connect deeply with listeners while opening doors for the next generation of artists.
