CHANDIGARH, 02.11.25-Dr. Neeza Singh, Librarian of T.S. Central State Library, Chandigarh, has been awarded the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award by Panjab University, Chandigarh, during the 6th Global Alumni Meet held on 1 November 2025. This award recognizes her exceptional contributions and leadership in the field of library and information science.


Dr. Singh earned her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Panjab University in 2002, securing a Gold Medal for academic excellence. She went on to complete her PhD from the same institution and has remained a committed ambassador for librarianship at both national and international levels.


The award ceremony was attended by prominent alumni of Panjab University, including Padma Shri Neelam Mansingh Chowdhry, Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda (Director General of Police, Chandigarh), and Justice Swatanter Kumar (former Judge, Supreme Court of India). Bollywood actor and fellow alumnus Ayushmann Khurrana sent a special video message to mark the occasion and congratulate the awardees.
