MAHENDERGARH, 14.09.25-The Department of Law at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh in a vibrant joint collaboration with the School of Legal Studies at K R Manglam University, successfully concluded a two-week Faculty Development Programme on the Indian Knowledge System. The programme was inaugurated under the auspices of Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University featured an insightful address by Prof. Mehraj Uddin, Former Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Kashmir. Stressing the vital importance of 'Indianness,' Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar called for this essence to be reflected not only in educational curricula but also in our personal ethos. The event attracted nearly 100 participants from diverse streams across pan-India, who engaged with esteemed resource persons from prestigious institutes including BHU, DU, and other central universities.
The valedictory session on September was graced by Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUH, who delivered a compelling lecture on the dire need to decolonize our mind-sets and reconnect deeply with our indigenous roots. Dr. Pradeep Singh, Head and Dean of the School of Law, interacted with participants to gather valuable feedback, urging them to give our deep-rooted Bhartiyata its due place in syllabus design and revision. He eloquently emphasized and endorsed that practices encompassing Bhasa, Bhusha, Bhajan, Bhojan, Bhawan, and Bhraman must be infused with Indianness to live a life exemplary to the world.
The convenor, Dr. Shobhna Jeet, presented a programme report, followed by a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Megha. The resounding success of the event was made possible by the significant contributions of the organizing committee, including Dr. Anju, Dr. Samiksha, and Mr. Rakesh Meena, and was met with unwavering appreciation from all attendees.
