CUH Organizes One-Day Research Software Workshop
The Research and Development Cell (RDC) of the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, in collaboration with Georgian Digital, organized a one-day Research Software Workshop. The workshop aimed to acquaint research scholars, faculty members, and students with advanced digital tools essential for modern research and innovation.

The workshop was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, who motivated participants to make the best use of digital tools in their research and shared valuable insights on the significance of technology-driven research.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Neelam Sangwan, Dean (Research) and Director, RDC, who also introduced the participants to the activities of Research and Development at CUH. Prof. (Dr.) Sunita Srivastava, Head, Department of Physics, highlighted the importance of using research software for achieving research goals with greater precision and efficiency. Prof. Antresh Kumar also encouraged students to adopt digital tools for enhancing their research outcomes.
The program was conducted in four technical sessions, each led by the expert speakers from the Georgian Digital team, who provided valuable insights into specialized research software. Session I introduced participants to OriginPro for scientific data analysis and graphing. Session II focused on COMSOL Multiphysics, demonstrating its applications in simulation and modeling. Session III highlighted the creative tools of Adobe Creative Cloud for effective research communication. Session IV concluded with an overview of NI LabVIEW, emphasizing its role in automation and data acquisition. Throughout the workshop, participants gained valuable insights into the application, features, and integration of these tools in their respective research domains. The sessions emphasized not only the theoretical aspects, enabling participants to develop practical skills. Participants asked questions and raised queries about the softwares and their applications in their research.

The event witnessed the presence of Dr. Rupesh Deshmukh, Prof. Sunita Tanwar, Prof. Pawan Maurya, Prof. Kanti Prakash, Dr. Mulaka Maruthi, and Dr. Neelam Yadav, who interacted with the participants and encouraged them to embrace digital tools for enhanced research productivity. The entire event was successfully coordinated by research scholars. Nishu served as the host, while Neha Saini, Sonam Kumari, Monika Saini, and Sapna Yadav managed the event seamlessly.

CUH organised Two-Day Workshop on AI

The Central Library and Department of Teacher Education in collaboration with ICFAI Business School organized a two-day workshop on “AI Virtual Teaching Assistant and Data Visualization” at the Central University of Haryana (CUH). The workshop aimed at strengthening the knowledge of AI among the teachers and researchers.

In his welcome address, University Librarian Dr. Santosh C. H. expressed gratitude to Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of CUH, for his constant encouragement in organizing training programmes on education technology. Dr. Santosh highlighted the purpose of orgnaising such workshops for the teachers and researchers.

Prof. Parmod Kumar, Head, Department of Teacher Education, and Prof. Neelam Sangwan, Dean, Research, graced the event as Chief Guests. Both the guests in their address underscored the potential of AI-driven visualization tools in generate actionable insights, and create interactive visual representations. They added that such tools should be used ethically and with proper training and guidance.

The training sessions were conducted by Dr. Anirudh Ghosh, who shared practical insights on Generative AI tools and their applications. On the first day, he focused on how AI can assist in writing code, analyzing data, and creating visualizations. The second day was dedicated to exploring advanced AI-based data visualization tools. The sessions were highly interactive.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 160 students representing various departments of the university. The program was formally introduced by Dr. Rajeev Vashistha, Deputy Librarian, while Dr. Vinita Malik, Information Scientist, coordinated the event. The workshop concluded on a successful note, with participants acknowledging it as an informative and enriching experience that broadened their understanding of AI applications in research and education
