CHANDIGARH,14.06.25-In line with the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, has embraced a forward-looking academic approach by integrating Value Added Courses (VACs) into its curriculum. These courses are designed to enhance the core academic structure with practical, and interdisciplinary learning, equipping students with tools to thrive in a dynamic and competitive world.

Recognising that academic knowledge must be complemented by life skills and career-oriented capabilities, MCM has curated a rich bouquet of VACs that go beyond traditional syllabi. Under the NEP framework, the college offers VACs in diverse domains, including: Philosophy of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Human Rights, Digital Governance, Governance for Sustainability, Indian Traditions and Values, Nutrition and Fitness, Basics of Computer Applications, Health and Wellness, Sports and Fitness, Health Economics, Literature and New Media, Children's Literature, Financial Literacy, Consumer Law, Vedic Algebra, Fundamentals of Solar Energy and Applications, Physics in Everyday Life, Basic Laboratory Techniques, Nursery and Gardening, and Chemistry in Every Day Life.
