MAHENDERGARH, 13.06.25-The Department of Law at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh hosted another engaging session of its esteemed 'Vimarsh' lecture series, featuring Dr. Ankita Yadav, Director of Five Year Law College, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, as the distinguished speaker. The session provided valuable insights into the multifaceted opportunities available to law students in today's evolving legal landscape.
In her interactive lecture, Dr. Yadav comprehensively discussed the diverse career avenues for law graduates, ranging from traditional litigation and corporate law to emerging fields like legal tech, policy-making, and international arbitration. She emphasized how today's law students stand at the threshold of unprecedented opportunities in both public and private sectors.
A highlight of the session was Dr. Yadav's emphasis on the noble social responsibility of young lawyers "Beyond being legal practitioners, you are the custodians of justice and social change," she told the students, urging them to consider pro bono work, legal aid initiatives, and public interest litigation as integral parts of their professional journey.
Dr. Pardeep Singh, Head and Dean of the School of Law, in his presidential remarks, applauded Dr. Yadav for her insightful perspectives that perfectly aligned with the 'Vimarsh' series' objective of bridging academic knowledge with real-world legal practice. He noted that such interactions are particularly valuable for students preparing to enter the legal profession.
The session saw enthusiastic participation from students who engaged in a vibrant Q&A session, exploring topics from career specialization choices to balancing professional success with social impact. This continues the 'Vimarsh' tradition of creating meaningful dialogue between students and legal experts.
With this session, the 'Vimarsh' series further cemented its reputation as a transformative platform that not only informs students about legal concepts but also shapes their professional ethos. The Department plans to continue this initiative with more sessions focusing on practical aspects of legal education and profession in the coming days.
‘Vimarsh' will evolve into a comprehensive platform to engage all stakeholders in envisioning "Bharat @2047". "This initiative represents our commitment to not just legal education, but nation-building," Dr. Singh stated. "'Vimarsh' will serve as a think-tank where academia, policymakers, legal experts, and students collaboratively brainstorm India's developmental trajectory as we approach the centenary of our independence."
With this expanded scope, 'Vimarsh' is poised to become not just a lecture series, but a movement connecting legal education with national development goals, true to the University's vision of creating socially responsible legal professionals. Dr. Singh reminded that admissions for LL.B and LL.M programs remain open until June 23, 2025, encouraging prospective students to join this dynamic learning environment that nurtures both professional excellence and social responsibility.
