Three arrested under Excise Act.

Chandigarh Police arrested Parshant R/o # 70/6 Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh age-24 years near Bridge forest area road Makhan Majra, Chandigarh and recovered 56 quarters of country wine from his possession on 03-06-2025. A Case FIR No.44 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Mauli Jagran Chandigarh. Later on, the accused bailed out. Investigation of this is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Vikash R/o # 2701/3 Sector 49/C Chandigarh aged-29 years from Sector 49 C & D turn, Chandigarh and recovered 23 quarters of country wine from his possession on 03-06-2025. A Case FIR No.31 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 49 Chandigarh. Later on, the accused bailed out. Investigation of this is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Raman R/o # 334 Village Dadu Majra, Chandigarh aged-24 years near Sports Complex Sector 38/west, Chandigarh and recovered 56 quarters of country wine from his possession on 03-06-2025. A Case FIR No.65 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Chandigarh. Later on, the accused bailed out. Investigation of this is in progress.

Theft

A Case FIR No. 58 U/S 303(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector- 26 Chandigarh on the complaint of Uddhav Garg R/o # 3112 Sector-28/D Chandigarh against unknown person who stole away Complainant inverter and battery from his house on dated 03.06.25. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No 65 U/S 305 BNS has been registered in Police Station Maloya Chandigarh on the complaint of Sohail R/o # Dadu Majra Chandigarh against unknown person who stole away cable wire of solar plant from quant solar company water works Sector 39 Chandigarh on the night intervening 2/3.06.2025. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Cheating

A Case FIR No 64 U/S 318(4), 61(2) BNS & 24 Immigration Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 17 Chandigarh on the complaint of Sarbjit Singh R/o Village Ghaunchor District SBS Nagar Punjab and others against Anubhav Garg R/o # 4 Kailash Parvat ward no 15 District Sarangpur Punjab and others SCO No 110 2^nd floor Sector 17 Chandigarh they cheated with complainant Rs. 36,75,000/- regarding visa. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Escape from custody negligently suffered by public servant

A Case FIR No 81 U/S 261, 262 BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 11 Chandigarh on the complaint of Line officer SI Paramjit Singh Punjab Police against Gopi (Prisoner) R/o # 621 Ravi Das Nagar Hoshiarpur Punjab who is admitted in PGI Chandigarh and ran away from there on 02.06.2025. On duty Punjab Police persons are ASI Vijay Kumar and ASI Suram Chand in PGI Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.
