CM inaugurates anti-drug cricket match in Dehra
SHIMLA- 4 June, 2025-Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today inaugurated a cricket match in Dehra of Kangra district to create awareness about the drug menace, organized as part of the “Kanoon Vidyalaya” awareness campaign launched by the District Police Dehra. The Chief Minister also showcased his batting skills.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized the role of sports in promoting a spirit of sportsmanship and discipline amongst the youth. He said that such initiatives not only encourage physical fitness but also serve as effective platforms for raising awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. He said that the match aims to deliver a strong message to the younger generation about leading a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
Superintendent of Police, Dehra, Mayank Chaudhary, said that the Dehra Police would continue to take forward this initiative in the future. He said the police have been actively engaging with gram Panchayats, students, and taxi drivers to spread awareness on various issues including drug abuse, cybercrime, law and order, and road safety. He added that the cricket match and other such activities are being held under the guidance and directions of the Chief Minister.

CM Dedicates and performs foundation stone laying ceremonies of development projects worth Rs. 233 crore in Dehra
SHIMLA-4 June, 2025-Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today performed inaugurations and laid foundation stones of 12 development projects worth Rs. 233.55 crore for Dehra assembly constituency of district Kangra, besides dedicating projects worth Rs. 100 crore yesterday.
The Chief Minister performed the opening ceremony of Circle Office of Jal Shakti Vibhag, Dehra. He also dedicated the building of Superintending Engineer, Operation Circle, H.P. State Electricity Board Limited at Dehra which will serve to the population of about five lakh. He also inaugurated Rs. 7.26 crore Administrative cum Academic Block of Govt. Degree College, Dhaliara and Rs. 1.75 crore bridge over Narad khad on Sunhet Bassi road in Gram Panchayat, Bada.
He also unveiled the statue of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan at Dehra Bypass completed with an outlay of Rs. 10 lakh. Greeting the people on the occasion the Chief Minister said that he respected all sections of the society and the State Government was committed to ensure all round development, welfare and upliftment of all the sections of the society without any discrimination.
He laid also foundation stones of Rs. 38 crore Circuit House building at Dehra, Critical Care Unit/Block at Civil Hospital Dehra to cost Rs. 26.82 crore, Combined Office building at Dehra to be completed with an outlay of Rs.99 crore, Forest Rest House, Dehra to cost Rs. 4.73 crore, a bridge over Dehi khad on Sunhet to Bassi road to cost Rs. 4.12 crore, a bridge over Dhaliara khad on Sunhet to Bassi road to be completed with an outlay of Rs. 8.77 crore and a water treatment plants of 24 water supply schemes with UV and Gaseous chlorination in Dehra area to cost Rs. 43 crore.

Government issues notification of blanket ban on transfers of teachers
In order to ensure smooth academic functioning in the educational institutions, the Government has decided to impose a complete ban on transfers of teaching staff working in Government Schools and Colleges of the State w.e.f. 5th June, 2025 upto completion of the current academic session 2025-26.
The notification in this regard has been issued.
