Mohali, 26th May : The former IAS officer, best-selling author and motivational speaker Vivek Atray was special guest at the Emaar to talk about his latest book, "The Middle of Everything" at the Emaar The Views Literary Club yesterday.

Present on the occasion were another celebrated author and Lt Gen Tiny Dhillon (retd), publisher Hardeep Chandpuri, podcaster Mubarak Sandhu, President of Views Owners Welfare Association (VOWA) H.S. Grewal, Secretary Vikas Puri, G.S. Bajwa, Simran Kaur, Views literary club chair C.J. Singh, members of the VLC and Novel Bunch, among others.

Speaking on the occasion Vivek Atray related some of the anecdotes from real life situations that have been included in the book based on the middles published in various newspapers over the years.

A writer has to become more observant, present in the moment, and humane to empathise with the situations and cull out the best positive aspects of life, he said.

Writing had been a passion and every moment inspires him and enjoy the lighter sides of the moment as the "life happens", he added.

"Middles are a joy to write, as they present flavours to savour and they should ideally elicit either a smile or a tear," Vivek remarked.
