Chandigarh Police arrested Rakesh R/o # 322-C, Part 2, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, Age 23 Years and Khushi Ram R/o # 127, Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, Age 37 Years and recovered 96 quarters of whisky and 48 halves of whisky from their possession near Market, Sector-18C, Chandigarh on 08.04.2024. A case FIR No. 23, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Later, they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Two persons arrested for consuming liquor at public place
Chandigarh Police arrested Anil Kumar R/o BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh Age-46 years, while consuming liquor and creating nuisance at public place near Wine Shop, Grain Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 08-04-2024. A case FIR No. 32, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Vijay Kumar R/o BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh Age-43 years, while consuming liquor and creating nuisance at public place near Plot No. 29, TPT Area, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 08-04-2024. A case FIR No. 33, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 29, U/S 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector-44, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person sent a link through message on her mobile phone on 05.04.2024, regarding redeem of reward points expiring soon on her SBI account. After clicking on link total Rs. 49,500/- debited from her account in two transactions. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Assault/Attempt to Murder
A case FIR No. 51, U/S 323, 307, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Khudda-Ali-Sher, Chandigarh who alleged that persons namely Kalyan Singh, Nirmal Singh and Balkar Singh all R/o # 540, Village Khudda-Ali-Sher, Chandigarh attacked upon complainant and her family members with sticks/axe near # 540, Village Khudda-Ali-Sher, Chandigarh on 06.04.2024. Complainant sustained injuries and was admitted to GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Alleged persons have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

The case FIR No 21 dt 05.04.2024 U/s 379 added 411 IPC, PS-19, Chd has been registered on the written complaint of Vishal Jindal S/o Shri Girdhari Lal Jindal House No. 3141, Sector 20D Chandigarh. On 04 April 2024, in the morning, he saw that unknown person had stolen both side mirrors of his car bearing No CH01BX-3141 and FIR No 22 dt 5.4.24, U/s 379 added 411 IPC, PS-19, Chd has been registered on the complaint of Nishant Goel S/o Sh. Yashveer Kumar Goel R/o # 3135 Sector -20D CHD, on 01-04-2024 at about 7 PM he parked his Fortuner car no CH-01-CF-4044 in front of his house and in the morning at about 10 AM it has been came to notice that someone had stolen both side mirror of his car.
During the course of investigation, the accused Nirpal Singh S/o Tulsa Singh R/o Shop No. 58 near Dhanna Atta Chakki, Burail, Sector 45, Chandigarh age 45 yrs has been arrested in FIR No. 21/24 PS-19, on 06.04.2024 and recovered the both side mirror of Innova Car No. CH01BX3141. He further disclosed that, he had also stolen both side mirrors of Fortuner car no CH-01-CF-4044 parked in Sector 20 D, CHD as well as he stolen two pairs (4 mirrors) of side mirrors from other Sectors of Chandigarh. On 08.04.24, the accused was arrested in FIR No. 22/24 PS-19 and one day police remand was obtained from the Hon’ble Court. During police remand, on the identification of accused both side mirrors of Fortuner Car No. CH01CF4044 have been got recovered and other two pairs of side mirrors also have been got recovered by the accused, the same have been taken into police possession u/s 102 CrPC.

He was declared PO by the Hon’ble Court of Sh. Randeep Kumar, JMIC, Chandigarh vide order dated 28.02.2024. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Concerned court.
- The non bailable warrant executed with arrest of accused namely Virender S/o Basant Kumar R/o # 249, New Indira Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh. The non bailable warrant was issued by the Hon’ble Court of Sh. Rahul Garg, ACJM, Chandigarh in case FIR No. 28/2022, U/s 61-1-14 Excise Act, PS- IT Park, Chandigarh. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble concerned court.
- The non bailable warrant executed with arrest of accused namely Nishant @ Nishu S/o Dev Singh R/o # 1487, Sector 25, Chandigarh. The non bailable warrant was issued by the Hon’ble Court of Sh. Jaspreet Singh Minhas, JMIC, Chandigarh in case FIR No. 132/2019, U/s 411 IPC, PS- 34, Chandigarh. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble concerned court.
