CHANDIGARH,06.03.24-A 32-member delegation from various ULBs of Madhya Pradesh visited Chandigarh to explore MC Chandigarh's best practices in waste management.

The delegates toured the Pink MRF, witnessing waste segregation, and visited the newly constructed state-of-the-art Composting Plant with a capacity of 300 TPD at Dadumajra. They explored the pre-sorting area, trommels for sifting dry waste from wet, sheds for windrow composting, and a leachate treatment plant at Water Works Sector-39.

The delegates also learned about the mobile water testing lab and the Horticulture Waste Plant at 3 BRD, which transforms waste into valuable resources.

Insights into the C&D waste plant producing tiles, bricks, and pavers were also gained.
