Chandigarh, August 31 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport & Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, today said that “Earlier, the sound of terrorists’ bullets echoed in Kashmir, but today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is the sound of Kashmiris’ applause while watching cricket matches at night that fills the air.” He added that Prime Minister Modi spread joy in Jammu & Kashmir by abrogating Article 370 and embraced the people of the valley with warmth.
Sh. Vij was interacting with the media persons in Ambala Cantonment’s Sadar Bazar after listening to the 125th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program along with local people and workers.
He said that “It was a historic mistake by the Congress government to impose Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir. Prime Minister Modi corrected this mistake, boosted the morale of sportspersons, and gave a new lease of life to the region, whether through night cricket matches in Kashmir or water sports in Dal Lake. The mention of this in today’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode has further motivated athletes.”

Sh. Vij emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the first Prime Minister who remains a companion to the people in both their joys and sorrows. Every month, through ‘Mann Ki Baat’, he presents the nation’s achievements and progress across various sectors. He noted that in today’s 125th episode, the Prime Minister expressed condolences for the recent flood disaster and also praised the soldiers, officers, institutions and citizens who stepped forward to help those in distress. “Such appreciation motivates others in society to engage in community service as well,” Vij added.
Prime Minister highlighted solar energy and encouraged people to adopt it – Vij
Speaking further, Sh. Vij said that Prime Minister Modi highlighted the importance of solar energy in today’s episode and urged citizens to adopt it. He explained that the government is already providing subsidies to encourage solar adoption, farmers are being given solar pumps, and households are encouraged to install rooftop solar panels. “For families with an annual income of less than Rs.1.80 lakh, the government provides a subsidy of up to Rs.1.10 lakh for installing two-kilowatt solar connections. Expanding solar energy is the need of the hour, and the Prime Minister has provided both vision and inspiration to achieve this,” Vij said.
He added that Prime Minister Modi also invites suggestions from citizens through each episode, and millions of people actively send him their inputs, making ‘Mann Ki Baat’ a truly participative national dialogue. Chandigarh, August 31- Haryana’s Energy, Transport & Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that “Society gives us a lot, knowingly or unknowingly, and this creates a debt on us. To repay that debt, we must help those in need.” He emphasized the importance of individuals who work selflessly for social welfare and upliftment.
Sh. Vij was speaking as Chief Guest at a program organized by JCI Ambala NextGen Leaders at Subhash Park, Ambala Cantonment. He praised the organization as the first of its kind in the district, awakening the spirit of service among people and creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders. On this occasion, he announced Rs. 10 lakh from his discretionary fund to support the organization’s expansion and upcoming activities.
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Vij said that “To progress in life, one needs both capability and opportunity. This organization is providing such a platform where talented individuals can showcase their skills and move forward. JCI Ambala NextGen Leaders is not only serving society in fields like education, healthcare, environment, and social welfare but also preparing future leaders. For this, I salute their efforts.”
Recalling his own journey in transforming Subhash Park, Sh. Vij shared that “Before 1996, this site was nothing but a garbage dump. It took a long legal battle in the High Court to secure this land and convert it into a park. With support from former Chief Minister Bansi Lal and later development works worth crores, today this park has become a landmark, attracting tourists, students, and families alike.”
The Minister also stressed the power of positivity and said that “Where there is positive energy, the environment flourishes. We must stay away from negativity and work together with positive energy to make our cities more beautiful and developed.”Sh. Vij encouraged JCI Ambala NextGen Leaders to keep the flame of service alive and said that “Continue igniting the spirit of selfless service in people. Whatever support is needed from the government, I assure you, it will be extended.”

Chandigarh, August 31: Haryana’s Energy, Transport & Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij strongly condemned the derogatory remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother from the stage shared by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. Sh.Vij said that “India will not tolerate such an insult. Until Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav apologize to the entire nation by holding their ears in shame, the people of this country will continue their struggle.”
Speaking to media persons during a protest demonstration in Ambala Cantonment, Sh. Vij said that “This is not just about the Prime Minister’s mother. It is an insult to every mother and every woman of India. By remaining silent, Rahul Gandhi has endorsed this mindset. Until both Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav publicly apologize, the people will not forgive them.”
Sh.Vij further added that “Congress and RJD have brought politics to its lowest point by allowing such abuses from their rally stage. Whether the words were spoken by someone else, the responsibility lies with Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, under whose leadership the rally was organized. Shockingly, no Congress leader has apologized or even condemned this shameful act, which shows tacit approval. But this nation will never accept it.”
Following the remarks, a large number of BJP workers, led by Cabinet Minister Anil Vij, staged a protest march through the main markets of Ambala Cantonment. Slogans such as “pradhaanamantree modee kee maan ka apamaan nahin sahega hindustaan” and “Rahul gandhi murdaabaad” were raised. The procession started from the BJP office on Nicholson Road and passed through Sadar Bazaar Chowk, Bajaja Bazaar, Sabzi Mandi, Hanuman Market, Pul Chameli, Kesra Bazaar and Kabadi Bazaar, before concluding back at Nicholson Road.
Prominent leaders including Som Chopra, Balwinder Shahpur, Sanjeev Soni, Surinder Bindra, B.S. Bindra, Ravi Buddhiraja, Harsh Bindra, Vikas Bahgal, Pravesh Sharma, Ashish Aggarwal, Ram Babu Yadav, Raju Bali, Raman Chatwal, Aarti Sehgal, and many BJP officials and workers participated in the protest.
