Responding sarcastically to a question regarding former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav’s claim that “the two Gujaratis (Modi and Shah) are jointly snatching away the rights of 80 million Biharis and that they have a deep hatred for Bihar’s Constitution and democracy,” Anil Vij questioned when Lalu Ji will move beyond regionalism. He said that “Has Bihar become your personal property?” Sh.Vij emphasized that every citizen has the equal right to contest elections in any state as per Section 19 of the Constitution, which grants the right to equality. He added that Lalu Ji is now making such remarks out of fear. Mocking him in a humorous tone, Sh.Vij said that “Lalu Ji is scared of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.”

*According to the General Land Record (GLR) in Ambala cantt., the land was received from the Cantonment Board, selling such land is a crime-Vij*
*Sh. Vij has already written to the government requesting an investigation into the land of the burfkhana in Ambala*
Chandigarh, July 8 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij has taken a firm stance regarding the Ambala Cantonment burfkhana land case, stating that he is writing to the state government to ask whether, after the Exciser Agreement on February 5, 1977, government employees submitted the appropriate documents in court during related legal proceedings. Several cases are still pending due to incorrect or incomplete information being presented to the courts.
While interacting with media persons today, Energy Minister Anil Vij said that legal cases concerning such lands are still under consideration in court. According to the rules, no new building or structure can be added to land held on lease. If any rules are violated, the lease can be cancelled and the structure demolished.
Sh. Vij stated that he has already written to the government seeking an investigation into the burfkhana land case because, according to the General Land Record (GLR), the land was received from the Cantonment Board and the legal status of the land remains unchanged. As per the GLR, the vacant land is government-owned, and selling such land is a crime. If any attempt is made to buy or sell such land, a legal case should be registered. He noted that this is not just a case concerning Ambala Cantonment, but about 62 cantonment areas in total. Historically, the British never granted ownership rights over land, only leasehold rights, and land was leased for purposes like ice factories, farming, and other uses.
It is worth mentioning that the land in Ambala Cantonment Sadar area was originally under the control of the Cantonment Board, but on February 5, 1977, it was placed under the jurisdiction of the Ambala Sadar Municipal Council.

To address this, he has asked the Executive Officer (EO) of the Municipal Council to send a letter to the government highlighting the shortage so that approval can be obtained for more workers.
