Jalandhar, 11.03.26-; The Annual LPU’s Indian Entrepreneurship Conclave 2026 (IECON’26), themed “Where Innovation Meets Inspiration,” held at Lovely Professional University (LPU), brought together startups, students, investors, mentors, and industry leaders on one platform to celebrate innovation and entrepreneurial ambition. Organised as part of EduRevolution, an initiative that aims to transform education into a catalyst for innovation, entrepreneurship, and real world problem solving, the three day conclave witnessed participation from more than 30,000 attendees and featured startup exhibitions, investor interactions, workshops and high energy pitching sessions.

The conclave was inaugurated by Prachi Tehlan, Indian actress, entrepreneur and former captain of the Indian National Netball Team as well as a former Indian National Basketball player. Addressing students and young entrepreneurs, Prachi shared her journey of transitioning from professional sports to the entertainment industry, highlighting how perseverance, discipline and the courage to take risks play a crucial role in achieving success.

IECON’26 hosted engaging panel discussions with successful founders, several of whom have secured funding through Shark Tank India. Panelists included Akshay Mahendru (Nootie), Sanjeev Jain (Prorata), Yash Goyal (Krvvy), Rahul Lakhmani (Skiify), Pujan Kachhadiya (MYPB), Ashish Kamathi (Vryse) and Mitresh Sharma (First Bud Organics). During their discussions, the founders emphasized that the most important step in entrepreneurship is simply getting started. They shared that solving a genuine problem with the right intent forms the foundation of every successful startup, encouraging students to act on their ideas rather than overthinking outcomes.

In the address, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor of LPU, emphasized that entrepreneurship is driven by the ability to identify real problems and build meaningful solutions. Dr. Mittal said that universities play a key role in fostering this mindset by creating platforms where ideas can be tested, refined, and supported with the right guidance. Dr. Mittal stated, platforms like IECON give exposure to students to real startup journeys, investor perspectives, and market realities, enabling them to develop innovative and impactful ventures.
