Chandigarh, 16.12.25-: Students of Classes VI, VII and VIII of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, beautifully showcased their talent, creativity and teamwork through a series of Ramayana-themed performances titled “Ramayan: Har Yug Ki Prerna”, organised as part of the school’s Annual Prize Distribution Function held from December 11 to 15, 2025.
The captivating presentations traced select episodes from the epic, beginning with the birth of Lord Rama and culminating in His triumphant return to Ayodhya. Through powerful enactments, expressive dialogue and coordinated stagecraft, students highlighted the timeless values of courage, devotion and righteousness, underlining the relevance of the Ramayana across generations.
The event stood as a reflection of the school’s strong emphasis on co-curricular activities as an integral component of holistic education. The confident performances demonstrated the students’ growing self-assurance, creativity and spirit of collaboration.
The occasions were graced by Ms. Kalpana K, IFS (Punjab Cadre), Mr. K. Kannan, IFS (2004 batch, Punjab Cadre) and Dr. Lalita Gouri Mitra, Professor and Head, Department of Anaesthesia, as Chief Guests. They lauded the students’ efforts and stressed the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between academics and co-curricular pursuits.
Congratulating the participants, Director Mrs. Reema Dewan reaffirmed the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals by providing equal opportunities for growth in academics, sports, arts and cultural activities.
