Chandigarh, 21.07.2026:As per the schedule of the 3rd Phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), 2026, the Draft Electoral Roll for 01-Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency was published today, i.e. 21st July, 2026.

As part of the revision process, a meeting with representatives of recognized political parties was held today under the Chairmanship of Sh. Amandeep Singh Bhatti, PCS, Electoral Registration Officer-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner, U.T., Chandigarh.

During the meeting, the Electoral Registration Officer informed the representatives of political parties about the publication of the Draft Electoral Roll and handed over copies of the Draft Electoral Roll to them.

The Draft Electoral Roll is also available on the website of CEO, U.T., Chandigarh, i.e. www.ceochandigarh.gov.in, and on the citizen portal at voters.eci.gov.in

Citizens whose names do not appear in the Draft Electoral Roll may submit their claims, along with the prescribed declaration and supporting documents, for inclusion of their names in the Electoral Roll during the Claims and Objections period from 21.07.2026 to 20.08.2026.

The Electoral Registration Officer further informed that, in accordance with the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the list of claims and objections received will be shared with recognized political parties on a weekly basis.

The representatives of political parties were also informed about the prescribed forms, namely Form-6 for inclusion of name, Form-7 for deletion of name and Form-8 for correction of entries, shifting of residence, replacement of EPIC and marking of PwD status. They were also apprised of various ICT applications and portals, including the Citizen Service Portal, Saksham App for PwDs and the “Book a Call Request with BLO” facility. They were requested to appoint and reorganize Booth Level Agents (BLAs) in view of the rationalization of 575 polling stations.

Further, the Electoral Registration Officer informed that notices will be issued to electors who have not submitted the prescribed declaration during the Special Intensive Revision and to those whose electoral records contain anomalies. Citizens requiring any assistance may contact the Voter Helpline No. 1950 or avail the “Book a Call Request with BLO” facility available on the ECINET Mobile Application.

Young citizens who have attained or will attain the age of 18 years on or before 01.07.2026 are also eligible to apply for enrolment by submitting Form-6 along with the prescribed declaration. Electors seeking correction of entries in the Electoral Roll or change of address may submit Form-8, either online through the ECINET Mobile App or ECINET Portal, or offline through the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO).
