Chandigarh, 27.05.2026:As part of the preparations for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) announced by the Election Commission of India for U.T. Chandigarh, the Election Department today organized a training programme at MCM DAV College, Sector 36, Chandigarh for Nodal Officers of Electoral Literacy Clubs (ELC), Voter Awareness Forums (VAF) and NSS Programme Officers.

During the training, participants were briefed about the guidelines and different phases of the SIR process, filling of Enumeration Forms (EF), and the use of Forms 6 and 8 during the claims and objections period. Testimony of the participants was also taken during the programme. Stakeholders were sensitized about their role in spreading voter awareness and advised to rely only on official and authentic information. Similar training programmes for other stakeholders, including Booth Level Agents (BLAs), will also be conducted in the coming days.
