CHANDIGARH, 19.04.26-Sh. C.B. Ojha, Chief Engineer, U.T. Chandigarh, along with Executive Engineers, Superintending Engineers and other officers of the Engineering Department, U.T. Chandigarh, visited various ongoing projects to review the progress of works.
During the visit of the Multi Level Parking at Court Complex, Sector 43, Chandigarh, which comprises Basement + Ground + 3 floors and has a capacity of 1272 cars. After reviewing the ongoing works, he instructed the concerned Engineer-in-charge to complete the building by the end of April so that the facility can be opened for advocates and the general public at the earliest.
Thereafter, visited the Extension of Kurukshetra Boys Hostel at Punjab Engineering College, U.T., Chandigarh (G+6). The building consists of a total of 622 rooms for students. He reviewed the progress of work and gave direction to the concerned officers to complete the project at the earliest so that the hostel facility can be made available to students.
He also inspected the Hostel Block for Boys & Girls for MBBS students, comprising a G+5 building with dormitories and rooms to accommodate 574 students. After reviewing the progress, he directed the concerned officers to complete the work by the end of April and hand over the building for use by MBBS students.
The Chief Engineer issued directions to all concerned officers to expedite the execution of works and ensure timely completion of these projects. He emphasized that no substandard work will be tolerated under any circumstances and instructed officials to maintain the highest standards of quality.
